  4. Not sure. I haven't heard of a connection although if I am a bit hungry when I go to bed I find it a bit harder to get quality sleep.
  5. We understand Sue. I will be traveling to Sydney regularly for work next year so I am sure we will have an opportunity to meet then.
  6. It took me 8 days post op and it's quite normal. Colofac helped and it should also improve once you start purée and soft food. You are doing all the right things.
  7. Hi Lissa, have a great day today. Robina is a great shopping centre on the Gold Coast and Marina Mirage where we are meeting tomorrow is also good. Have you bought new bathers yet? I need to buy some before going to Caloundra soon on holidays, but haven't been game to try any on as yet. See you tomorrow morning.
  8. LAST REMINDER - VST Social Get Together Saturday 5 October, 11am at Providore Cafe, Marina Mirage, Gold Coast. All are welcome. Please us know if you are coming along. If anyone wants a lift I can car pool one more person from Brisbane. Cheers Kelli
  9. Sorry we won't get to meet you on Saturday. Maybe next time. I am moving to the Gold Coast in early December so hopefully we can catch up separately. Cheers, Kelli
  10. Lissa are you already on the Gold Coast? If not when do you arrive?
  11. Good Luck, we will all be thinking about you. Let us know how it all goes.
  12. Wow Dean you look totally different to the man i met back in January. Congratulations on reaching goal. Are you going to join us at the get together this Saturday on the gold coast. misty, Lissa, Bec, Jen and i are going and everyone is welcome. Saturday 5 October, Providore at Marina mirage at 11am.
  13. As. Birdie007 said you will find most people will support your decision, but if you are u sure about someone in particular I do agree that it is better to tell them afterwards when the weight is coming off and you are doing well.
  14. Sounds like the best strategy. People do tend to have an opinion about this surgery and 99% of the time they are uninformed. I agree that you don't need the additional stress of risking other people condemnation.
  15. Misty I will still be in business with my husband but I am stepping away from the other business with my friend and have suggested she buy me out. Our friendship hasn't survived going into business together and she's had major issues with my getting the sleeve and losing weight over the past year. Time to move forward but no regrets.
  16. Great result Joanne. You must be feeling and looking amazing. Well done!
  17. Contract for new job now signed and I start on 2 December. I will be working at a major hotel on the Gold Coast in sales & marketing. Worked in hospitality for almost 20 years but have been out of it for the past 10. Thank goodness I now have the sleeve as I will be doing a lot of entertaining. I will still have to be selective but I am not as worried about it as I would have been pre sleeve. Love my sleeve!!!!!
  18. On a different topic has anyone been following the America's Cup? We've been up early watching it every morning. Oracle Team USA just retained the Cup. The Kiwi's were up 8 races to 1 a week ago and blew it. I feel very sad for the Kiwi's but congratulations to USA with their Australian skipper.
