  1. Okay' date=' I posted a picture in an album. No I couldn't tell you how to find it, but it's there. My Bike is awesome! Am I a little excited about it? Yeah, just a little.[/quote']

Good for you with the bike! I agree that you might want to consult with another nut. I am eating between 1000 and 1200 calorues and my nut wants as liw as possible with the carbs, 60 a day or less and tge rest Protein. I am down 80 kbs and feel great. hair has dramatically thinned but it seems to be coming to a stop now. I am 11 months out. Hang in and get another nut consult who is educated in bariatric surgery patients. Good luck

  2. I made it!!!! The Marriot is very nice' date=' just like they all are. Crossing the border was a uneventful. Just met with one of my coordinators and I will be getting the call with more info about times...chow :-) thanks to those of you that wished me well and prayed for me I genuinely appreciate it[/quote']

Best wishes with this part of your journey!!

  3. Well seen the new surgeon he said I need to get a Rny. He thinks I have metabolic issues that need to be dealt with and the Rny will take care of that. I have never strayed far from the plan I've worked out from day one I've done everything that I could've done. I am not perfect and noone on here is but this is what it is. I'm Happy to know I did not mess up and the 1st doc did not mess up. It's just my body needs a reset. When will I get this done if I had insurance it would be done ASAP I'm self-pay it won't be done ASAP my doctor nutritionist and surgeon would've Called this medically necessary for insurance I do not have insurance so it will take me a few months to save up to have it done. I don't know how I feel ATM I gave it my all I had every test that could have been done done. I'm happy there is nothing wrong with me I'm happy to know what is going on and how to fix it. I'm unhappy to know that I have to do this all over again. I'm unhappy that I'm back upto 209 I have been 205/209 sin the Beginning of January .

Art, sorry for your struggles . You will get through whatever you have to do! We are all in your corner!

  4. Hi Artsong

I know how you feel I am right there with you. I have lost 30 pounds since day of surgery and will be hitting 6 months on the 24th of March. I too thought it would be a lot faster loss. I too am wondering what the hell I spent me my money for.

The one thing that really bugs me is in the Morning I weigh 118.7 and in the evening I weigh between 3 and 5 pounds more' date=' making it really difficult to decide how much I have lost. I am now not counting losses unless it is also a loss in the evening.

I have been exercising regularly and starting keeping a journal again. I am having trouble keeping on the presurgery diet so I have given it up for now. Hopefully with counting each and everything again I will be able to see whats wrong.

on a more postiive note congrats to everyone else most of you are doing fabulous.[/quote']

I only weigh myself in the AM. I found that I also weigh more at night! I guess it is Water build up or something so I just go by my morni g weight!

  5. Funny story.

Yesterday I went Bra shopping. They had a bra fitting specialist from Vanity Fair that measured me. As soon as she put the tape measure around my rib cage she said... "Your tinny" I know I must have looked like the world stopped spinning or something... I said to this lady .. " I've been called alot if things but tinny has never been one of them". She looks at me strangely then I explained that I'd lost alot of weight.

I'm telling you.. It felt strange and great all at the same time. It's funny how our brains still see us at Pre op weight.

I have gone from a 42DD to a 34-36D. If this keeps up I may have to buy some new boobs. Lol!!!

I went and got new bras yesterday too, went from a tight 42c/d to a comfortable 38b! Also now in a large top from a 2x!! Doesn't it feel great ??? ;)

  6. so i use fitclick to log my food so i went back to december because it seems to be when i was losing 2-3lbs a week to see what i was eating and its seems my carbs averaged out to be higher than my protien intake. so instead of taking in 80+ on protien i will reduce it back to 60-75grams aday and my carbs at about 100grams. i am going to try for a whole week to see what happens. i have tried everything else so lets try this. plus i added working out but the scale and inches are not moving . i will let you guys know what happens

Hope it turns this around for you! I have had stalks but look at them as a readjustment period but if I wasn't losing inches I would be upset too! Hang in, you will work it out!!

  7. I have 367 posts since I joined last July. Had surgery on Sept 10th. I feel like a newbie some days and other days I feel like a vet! I try to be open to everyone's opinions and have learned volumes from you all! Just glad this site is here, very inspirational for me!!

  8. So I met someone who had gastric sleeve one year out and they at two slices of pizza Hut pizza and a regular mt dew! All the same time!!!! One word: Scary!!!! Seriously what's the point and if I tried to even eat one piece I would die from being so full!! What are your thoughts?????

Certainly hope I never get there!! Can't imagine eating one slice !!!! How has this persons weight loss been?

  9. So' date=' I am, like most, in yet another stall. I did Lil Diva's Bootcamp to kick start my weight loss (which worked) but as soon as I started reintroducing foods again...BAM, the weight I had lost came back on. I know I need to be patient but I am so close to hitting my goal.....Very Frustrated Today :P[/quote']

Hang in,you will get there !!

  10. Time for real talk.... Hope this isn't TMI.

    I'm not going..... Ugggh!!!

I know I don't eat enough veggies but by the time I fit Protein in there's not room for much more.

I can go over a week without going. That's just not healthy. Ive taken Milk of magnesia and Mirilax. It will eventually happen with the aid of a chemical product but I hate that I have to take them do what should come natural.

I even thought that maybe I'm eating too much Greek Yogurt???? (Lots of protein in that stuff)

Is anyone else having this issue????

Hi green, I use the gummie Fiber too, take two a day and it seems to keep things moving! Worth giving them a try!!

  11. 3 boxes of thin mints and 2 boxes of samoas have made there way in my house. The hubby had ordered them from a neighbor. I so badly wanted to rip into a box and have a cookie only because they are thin mints! I stared at the Cookies and decided my cream of shrimp Soup was going to have to do for dinner. :( But the SF popscicle sure did taste good!

I bought 12 boxes from my Goddaughter then sent those boxes to my daughters house as I don't trust myself yet with anything but fruit and sf fudgsicles!!!!lol

  12. Sadly' date=' it's Hair loss time for me.... Can't stand it.

I'm almost 6 mo this out. I eat lots of Protein and take all the Vitamins. I guess there is nothing to so but endure it. I read that it's due to just loosing weight. The drop in nutrition / calories is what starts the process.

I will see my Doct later this month an will ask about how many calories we should be eating to continue weight loss but minimize loss of nutrition.

Just wanted to know if any of you have had this discussion with your surgeon or NUT???

    I currently eat about 800 cal a day.[/quote']

Yea had the discussion and his answer was it will eventually slow down and the hair will grow back. I too will be 6 months out on the 10th and am shedding every day!!

  13. Hello all! I am pretty new and I would love to join your group. I need all the support I can get! Just finished all my pre op requirements' date=' so next step is waiting to hear from my ins co.. I am scared but SO INSPIRED by you all & I am so excited!!! I have had hypothyroidism for about 13 years now & was wondering if you have to crush your meds for the rest if your life. Kinda worried bout that... Any tricks or suggestions? :)[/quote']

I take synthroid and do not have to crush it! My doc said that as long as pills are not much bigger than an M&M candy there is nothing to worry about with the sleeve surgery!! Good luck and welcome!
