how many calories intake
What type of carbs are you eating? At 3-4 weeks I was consuming pureed foods: cottage cheese, tuna, fish, canned meats. I also would have creamy soups but only once or twice a day. I didn't have mashed potatoes, refried beans, oatmeal or cream of wheat. Do what is best for you. Good Luck.

Tijuana here I come!

how many calories intake
I am 15 weeks on Monday. I eat between 600-700 calories daily this keeps me losing at a good rate. I eat very low carb and high protein. I find if I eat too many calories I don't lose.

You can gain weight after VSG.
I had my surgery in Mexico and have\was well versed on what I need to do to be successful, maybe that is just me. I have seen MANY sleevers who have had there surgery in the U.S. and have had councelling and a NUT and still come on here asking ridiculous(should already know) questions and sound like they have no idea what they are doing. Are these the people who may not be successful? Is it because they can't follow the diet guidelines given? Or is it because they truly can not give up there old eating habits? This is a life changing experience and not for everyone. I do take it one day at a time but also love the new me and remember this everyday!

Eating to much?
You should never vomit or have a stuck feeling this is not the goal. The goal is to have a satisfied full feeling. You are not eating alot and it is great to try new foods and have them agree with you. I have had no issues with any food that I have tried.

Total Failure
Well you know how you gained it back so like the other poster said you have to get back to basics. No junk, measure your food, low carb, exercise. Get control of yourself, you didn't have this surgery to fail, you can do this!! Go see your NUT and doctor for help.

Band To Vs In Mexico..canadian
Yes I had my band removed and sleeve performed at the same time. This is definitely the best way. I have lost 62 pounds since September 10th the best thing I could have done for myself.

Eating out?
We are all very busy Mom's or not. You have to plan what you are going to eat and pack a lunch. RTD shakes, cheese strings, lunchmeats, leftover meats, tuna. You name it, you can bring it. Fast food is the WORST food that you can be eating, stay away from it.

regrets even if its too late
It takes a good 6 weeks for your stomach to fully heal. You theoretically could get a leak during this time.

What does it feel like?
How do you "feel" your stomach now? You don't now and you won't after surgery. You don't feel your liver, kidneys, gallbladder, spleen unless there is something wrong with them.

Nsv...
Wow are these costumes you wear as some sort of performer? Good for you.

Plastics less than a year out?
One other thing, I don't believe that surgeons say to wait for your skin to "shrink". For weight loss patients I think they say for your weight to stabilize.
-
Plastics less than a year out?
I have experienced weight loss in the past and then went for plastic surgery before a year was out. I believe once your skin has stretched out and is lax/flabby it will not "improve" a year out so why wait. I am in the same boat now as you: I have 17 more pounds to lose and would like my surgery late spring. I am going to see a plastic surgeon next week. I think it is the best decision, we will be looking fantastic come summer!! I say go for it!!

what to do?
Why are you not taking vitamins? You should not be on pain killers you have had two ulcers. There are liquid vitamins, gummies. Sounds like you waited to get help too long; after the first twenty pounds lost I would have sought help. Best of Luck

what to do?
First of all this is vertical sleeve talk not gastric bypass talk. Secondly I agree with the other posters, as sad as your situation is we can not help you. Go see another doctor to see how they can help you(liquid diets, high calorie liquids and so on) so that you don't become malnourished you can't get your tummy back but you have to go on and make sure you are healthy.

Will you cheat for Christmas?
On the contrary I did not progess fast through my stages and also did not and have not had any eating issues. If you feel okay try a small amount of potatoes and gravy taking only a 1/4 teaspoon bite at a time. If you feel okay continue, if not stop. You wouldn't want to ruin your Christmas by getting sick.

Dr Garcia January 25th
Yes all your stuff is in your room. They will lock up your wallet but be careful we all seem to have $20.00 taken from it.

Dr Garcia January 25th
Congratulations Lulu on your decision. You won't be disappointed. I had my surgery on Sept 10th and have lost to date 62 pounds. You will meet others at the hotel don't worry about being there alone.

Tuna?
I would try the tuna just with a bit of mayo and maybe a little dijon mustard. I think combining the two: veggies and tuna is what is causing it. Good Luck

Questions you might have about Weight Loss Surgery
Lorraine in the future you might want to "not" reply to the quote as it reprints the entire post. Just put your reply in the box and the OP will know that it is for her. TY

depress......just lost my job!
Look hang in there. I have been actively searching for employment for over a year! My good news is I just got a job offer today!! What I am saying is that even in this darkness there will be light to come. Take a deep breath, enjoy the holidays and your loved ones. Jump in head first on January 2 into the job search, it will happen for you too, just don't give up. All the best

Boy did I mess up!
I agree with Ms skinniness, it is your home you need to take charge and control over your life. Tell your family that no foods such as cookies are aloud in your house, plain and simple. This is the time you need to start doing for yourself, the surgery was the first step. Stay away from the cookies. No one said you had to sit with them while they ate a big dinner; only you. Go into another room, come search on VST, watch TV, if they don't understand than they really are not supportive or loving of you; now are they?
