so you had your Lapband removed and later decided to have the sleeve (and even though you already went through the process of the band) you had to wait for 6 months of diet/nutrition for your ins to approve you???

Did my band to sleeve one surgery. I was told that if my stomach wasn't good I would have to come back for the sleeve , but all was well.

I went to Mexico for a revision because insurance is a big joke. Paid 5500.00 wonderful experience. Dr lopez and Osuna

Contact Ready4Achange.com. Ask for Dr Lopez as your surgeon. They have you send all you info to them he will review it and mak a decision. If he accepts then put down your deposit. They help will all the details.

I had my band for yrs and had it removed because it slipped. I'm not sure if it eroded but I was a pretty sick lady. My surgeon said he'd never replace the band on me but if i was to gain (I was thin from the band) back the pounds he would sleeve or do bypass. I'd say it's 2 yrs later and I gained it back. Insurance requirments for sleeve is to do the 6 month diet log thing. Here's my question....If I was already banded' date=' do you think I'd have to do the 6 month wait...did you have to after the removal of your band??? I recently had so many other tests (stress, endo, labs, ultrasound) that I'm not worried about having to wait around for tests, I'm just concerned about the 6 month wait....do ex bandsters have to endure this again???

Everything is top notch in PV. Relax it is an awesome place for surgery. I had surgery 8/15/12 with Lopez and Osuna great experience.

Dr Lopez gives IV meds x2 days then toradol sublingual. I had no pain only soreness.

The doctors and staff are great. I had my revision on August 15 in Puerto Vallarta. Your in good hands.

I used Lopez and he uses a real hospital. Please research.

I am two day post op and very pleased with the care and my surgery. My doctors were Lopez and wife Osuna. They are just awesome. I will be back for a Tummy Tuck and boobs in a couple of years. I went through Ready4Achange for scheduling Good luck to all.

I was told that Dr.Lopez's assistant will be responsible for my things. I am supposed to make an a list of items and both of us sign off on it before surgery. Hopefully all will be well. I will be very disappointed if I lose my Ipad, phone, money , and OMG my passport.

Flying out of Houston only 2.5 hours. Paid a high price for the tickets but the other flights were 7.5there and 11.5 hours back.
