  1. I used a couple for a couple of years. They run pretty quiet, but like others have said... They make noise when the mask slides over. Nothing like waking up to the mask over your eye socket drying your eyeball to death, lol. I have since stopped using it as I felt like I was always waking up to adjust it.

  2. I have bcb of southern Illinois. The 6 month dr monitored weight loss program had to be within the last 2 years. So you should be good. Bcbsil sent me an information packet and I spoke to one of them and asked them on here phone what all the requirements were. The consultation is probably to get all of your necessary appointments set up. With the psych, nutritionist, etc. I also had to attend a support group session and a couple of additional educational seminars.

I would try calling bcb again and see if they have the requirements for you. If not, the dr office should be able to get that info for you.

    Good luck!

  3. I'm too lazy to do the mix. Too messy, and just doesn't taste good to me. I get a few different ones to change things up. At my costco, they have the Premier Protein shake. 30 g Protein. They also have Muscle Milk Light which is 20 g and only 100 calories. I also like all of the Atkins shakes with 15 g protein. All of them are premixed and yummy. There are also some new protein gatorades. I think they are called recovery. 16 g of protein in 16 oz.

  4. I had my surgery on 7/26. I'm having a Protein Shake for Breakfast, a Greek yogurt for snack, half a can of Soup for lunch, the other half for dinner. Popsicles/jello/or pudding for another snack. I've also tried refried Beans cottage cheese. I drink Water or crystal light throughout the day. They make an Arnold Palmer packet as well... Yummm. sugar free Werthers candy too.

  5. In my town, they do an hour long seminar to tell you about the different types of surgery and to get you started. I went to this start up seminar 3 times over 5 years. The first 2 times, I came up with an excuse not to do it. The 3rd time, I decided going in that this was it, i'm doing it.

Had my surgery 2 weeks ago. You aren't going to die, they know what there doing. I took a week and 2 days off of work and feel great. Don't let them talk you out of it. It's your body and mind you have to deal for the rest of your life so do it for yourself.

    Good luck man.

  6. Well, surgery was Thursday at 730am. I was in there longer than expected because the Dr discovered a hiatal hernia that he had to deal with first. But everything worked out OK. I was cruising up and down the halls at 1 pm the same day and ended up being discharged at 6 pm on day 2. It is now Saturday morning. I still feel a bit bloated and swollen. It is difficult to sleep for the time being.

    I feel stuffed! Lol.
