  1. I got the call from my surgeons office today that my insurance said I have to complete the six month diet plan... This blows my mind because I have called three seperate times, talked to three different people and asked specifically if my coverage required the six month plan. Each time the answer was no, I have confirmation numbers from the calls so I was thinking I may call them and ask what's going on and why I was given misinformation. I need to have my gallbladder removed and was planning to have it out at the same time as my surgery, and now I may have waited all this time and suffered to avoid the two surgeries only to be told sorry you now have to do two. Such a bummer. Any suggestions?

  2. My eval was on 9/27, I was there for about 30 mins. He was a nice guy asked me about my support system, drinking habits, etc. No quizzes or puzzles, lol! I too have ocd, he asked how I control it since I don't take meds. I explained that the meds make me feel to muted and I am able to control my compulsive behaviors/rituals by taking a step back and trying to see the bigger picture. I do have bad days, but they are far and few between. In the end he gave me the okay!! But I can't begin to express how worked up I got myself over the appointment, I am glad it wasn't as in depth as some of you had to experience :)

  3. Gallstones are an awful affliction. I had some pain and discomfort, my doc asked me where and when I explained he ordered the ultrasound. I am having my gallbladder removed at the same time I am being sleeved, the date can't come fast enough. Get the ultrasound, it'll be so much better to catch it now before the attacks start. Best wishes :)

  4. I had to get the referral from my primary, take the education class, surgeon consult, I then had to gain about 15 pounds, multiple meetings with surgeon, abdominal ultrasound (gallstones :( NUT appt, psych eval, upper GI scan and now just waiting on the ins. approval. All in all I have been working with my surgeon since May and it hasn't been too bad. I am so excited to get my surgery date and begin my fresh start!!

  5. I am right there with all of you!! I cannot wait to lose all this hideous weight that I've held on to for so long! A few things I won't miss are: the overwhelming feelings of shame when I eat or pass up opportunities to go out, having quad boobs because bras cannot contain the girls, my flab resting on my legs whilst sitting, and feeling the need to overcompensate in other areas so people won't feel I am unable to keep up.
