  4. My NUT told me not to work out during this time. I am not sure how many calories I am getting. I have 2 cups of soup liquid after being cooked, blendedn and strained for lunch and dinner. I have two glucerna's a day and juice all natural squeezed twice a day. The rest is liquids, I drink water. I am allowed 1 yogurt or ice cream low fat or sugar free.

  8. I have 15 days and only on day one. I have to keep reminding myself why I am doing this. The preop diet sucks there is no getting around it. Sent from my iPod touch using VST
  9. I am on nothing solid from now until the first..........it is interesting. I feel good about it today, but I hope I feel the same by Thursday!
  10. How is everyone's pre-op going. I a mid way through day 1. 14 to go! Not too bad YET. I have to say I am full after lunch. My liquid homemade chicken and vegetable soup. I could only eat a few bites of jello. Next shake at 3. I am not even close to water goal. 18oz to go this round and then another 24 oz. I will try to get more water in after my soup digest.
  11. I started preop this am. 15 days. I have to say it is challenging at best. Day 1 morning has been okay. I am sure day 4, my feelings will be a bit different. I told our Nanny this AM that she only needed to prepare soups. She looked at me like I was crazy. Mind you, this is not the 1st time we have had this convo! I guess it is a bit much to understand unless u are going through it!
  12. Haha!!! He bought it for me when he proposed. It is a womens XL and way too tight! We are scheduled same day! Sent from my iPod touch using VST
  13. I start preop tomorrow! I am nervous, but excited. I had all favorites this weekend. I am still down 2lbs. So I was conscientious of what I was eating. Sent from my iPod touch using VST
  14. I have only told a few folks. Ones that I knew would not give me their opinion in a negative way and try to convince me that I do not need surgery. If I do decide to tell them, it will be after. I think we all know who in our life we can tell and who we can't tell. Most people at my job know how hard it is for me to lose weight. They have seen me bust my ass for over a year with little to NO results. So I know when I start dropping it will not be a secret. By that time I really don't care if they know or not. You have to decide who in your life needs to know. For those that you think will not be supportive, I recommend waiting until after surgery. I think we all beat ourselves up enough during this process, we do not need others that have not walked in our shoes beating us up too. Good luck!
  15. Hi Tia, I am Tamara (no joke). I am being sleeved 10/1 too! I am getting my sleeve in Bogota, Colombia. I did not travel here for surgery, we live here.
  16. Steelers Nation in the house! That is my hubs team all the way. I think I may take my preop picture in my steelers shirt that is to small now! When is your surgery? The 30th? So yeah, I am allowed carbonated diet drinks....ummmm. I can't find sugar free popsicles here.
  17. So my pre-op starts tomorrow. Not sure how much it differs from US type pre-ops. This is my schedule Breakfast 1 glucerna coffee/tea no sugar or milk\ 1 natural fruit juice no sugar Snack Diet Yogurt or Kumis or Diet Ice Cream Aromatica (mint leaves and fruit in hot water) Diet Soda lunch liquid Soup with veggies & beef, chicken, or seafood sugar free Jello dinner Repeat of lunch The one difference I do see is that my diet soda intake is not limited and I can have as much tea or aromatica as necessary. I have to drink at least 7 glasses of Water per day. I am not a big soda drinker, so I can not see over indulging in that. But I see many aromaticas on my 15 day journey. What does your pre-op consist of?
  18. Glad u are home my buddie! You know if u need to talk I am here. Sent from my iPod touch using VST

  20. I am glad to know it is just not me!
  21. My ticker started acting crazy several days ago. It is reading weight at 266.000. I have tried deleting and changing, but doesn't work. I also tried a ticker day to surgery countdown. That is not working either.
  22. I am scheduled for 10/1. I am having my surgery in Bogota, Colombia.
  23. Pre-op starts on Monday. I am spending this weekend getting mentally prepared.
