October List of Surgery's
I had my 6 week post op appt yesterday. I have kinda stalled out only losing 5lbs from my 2 week post op to 6 week post op. I had my period one week and two weeks prior to that I didn't lose a pound! The NP didn't seem to concerned, as I am following the rules and I went back to work during that time. I did admit to not getting 2 protein shakes a day and she said that could cause me to stall. I don't go back until 1/22. I am now on full diet, so I had my 1st salad today. I also got rid of chewable vitamins!!! Yeah!!! That one multivitamin was YUCK. I meet with the exercise consultant tomorrow. I hope everyone is doing well. It seems like people are checking in less.

Recovery + Time Off Work
I had my surgery 10/21 and returned to work 11/16. I had sleeve to RNY revision with hernia repair. I couldn't have gone back in two weeks like some people do. I was still in so much discomfort. I have a desk job. I went back last week still in some discomfort but more than that I was exhausted in bed the first day back to work by 7 pm. I get up at 4:15am. I am just now starting to feel like my normal self and I am 5 weeks post op today.

SLEEVE TO BYPASS REVISION
That's the plan @@nailsbyniki to stay the course. Not saying that complications can't arise even doing everything right. Thank you! @@DeezJeanz I was told it could take a few months to resolve. I didn't take a pill for it and I was burning after taking vitamin and had not eaten. I was miserable until midday. Not scared yet! Thank you for the well wishes. I will be 5 weeks out on Thursday and 26lbs down total. No weight loss last week.

SLEEVE TO BYPASS REVISION
@@RebeccaRN I just had sleeve to bypass revision on 10/21. So far so good no surgical complications. My heartburn is still alive and still on medicine. I take my vitamins religiously. I am losing weight at the "normal" rate. I was nervous as well, but happy with my decision. @@nailsbyniki I hope you feel better soon

October List of Surgery's
@@60&goin4it that is such great news! Congratulations!!! I feel like I ready to advance my diet. It is interesting because every program is so different. If you are doing 2/3 cup what percentage is meat and what is veggies. I think I would do better if my program said 2-3 oz of lean meat and a 1/4 of veggies (just for example)

October List of Surgery's
I hope you got some great news at your weigh in. My weigh loss is stalled but I am trying not to freak out. It is hard because we are eating so little it is like WHAT? The scale didn't move!? It is beyond frustratating but it is so much a part of the process.

October List of Surgery's
Hi everyone, I went back to work yesterday and I am exhausted by noon. I am at work at 6:30am. I retaining water not sure what that's about. Tomorrow is my weekly weighin but I don't think I have lost anything. Between my bowels and water retention. Going back to work has been good for my eating schedule at least now I can eat breakfast. I have puked twice since surgery, my fault both times. It is a learning experience. I have a harder time eating with my family because we are talking and I lose focus and eat to fast. Much easier for me to eat alone, sad but true.

My scale went up... But not freakin yet, I am in week 3. Dealing with a bit of constipation.... I try not to let the negative thoughts get me....I try hard it is tough I think too because I don't feel restriction.- Inova Fair Oaks Hospital
I just had surgery with Dr. Halmi. Revision from sleeve to bypass. I had the upmost confidence in him. He made me feel so comfortable and confident about the surgery outcome. His whole staff is fantastic.- Anyone having surgery in Oct ?
@@395Ron it is so great to hear from you! I am so happy that you are progressing. You had so many people pulling for you. Thank you wife for keeping us updated. I too was told only walking. I am still having pain in my stomach near large incision and bruising so honestly I don't even want to attempt working out. I don't go back to Drs until 12/2. I am still on mushie food and honestly feel like I can eat more than a quarter cup. I am in the 3 week stall too. I am down 25 lbs, 14lbs of hat since surgery. I still a, dealing with the fear of failure. I am hoping for at least an average of 2.5lbs a week which I think is not over the top!- Puréed stage question.
My program is 3 meals and 2 shakes. I started this phase last Weds night. To date, I have not been able to eat 3 meals. There are some days I don't get both protein shakes. Yesterday, it took me three hours to drink my shake. It is a process. I honestly found my liquid/soft phase much easier. I think it gets easier the further out from surgery. I try to focus on protein and liquids because I do not want yo deal with dehydration. Every program is so different so check with you nutritionist.- BCBS federal anyone?
@@Miss Mac They are awesome. Did you read somewhere about the panniculectomy? I was wondering about that and couldn't not find info on it anywhere.- Approvals with BCBS Federal

What is a picc line?Sent from my SM-N915P using Tapatalk A central venous catheter, also called a central line, is a long, thin, flexible tube used to give medicines, fluids, nutrients, or blood products over a long period of time, usually several weeks or more. A catheter is often inserted in the arm or chest through the skin into a large vein. The catheter is threaded through this vein until it reaches a large vein near the heart. I hope you feel better soon! Prayers to you and Ron!!!!- October List of Surgery's
@@anewme2015 you sound like you are coming along nicely. I had cottage cheese today and loved it. It is interesting how are taste change. I am not feeling yogurt right now. I Don't go back to work until the 16th. We went to the mall today and man I am feeling it. I still have so much soreness and discomfort. I wore jeans and the button hits my belly button incision OMG it hurt. My jeans are loose thought. We went to Red Lobster. I got. 5oz Salmon with mashed potatoes and brocolli. I ate about 2oz of salmon a few bites of potatoes and 1 brocolli spear. I shared my plate with my 17 month old and my husband always eats my food lol. The biscuits OMG looked good but honestly I do not even feel tempted. I am still not getting 3 meals a day. It is just hard.- October List of Surgery's
So I started my mushy phase Weds night. My first meal was tuna and broccoli. All my food needs to be Mashable by fork. My program does not call for the food to be puréed. It is more like soft food chewable to Apple sauce consistency. I have had lean ground beef, refried beans, and eggs so far. I too find it difficult and somewhat a chore to eat. They want me to eat 3 meals and 2 snacks. Snacks are protein shakes. Also drink fluids. It is way to much. Plus I have no desire to eat. The enjoyment is gone lol. I spend a lot of time thinking of when to stop drinking so I can eat. Speaking of I need to eat breakfast lol- Blurry Vision
Mine cleared like 5 days post op. It scares me. I had never experience it with previous procedures. How is your recovery going?- Anyone having surgery in Oct ?
