I had my band for 11 months and the gas is TERRIBLE... Have you taken anything that has brought some relief?

I joined and it seems easier to track the points versus calories. We will see at the weigh in, lol...

Thank you For that encouragement. If I am not mistaken I think you picture is different showing more weight loss, MIS73. Am I correct? It has been a while since I have been on the site.

Just curious..... If you're tracking your intake, drinking all your Water and exercising, what is it that you think Weight Watchers is going to do?
I am thinking perhaps it is mr combination of foods and while I am tracking and thinking I am going the right thing, perhaps they can show me something else. Also this is cheaper than going to a nutritionist and I get a reimbursement from my insurance so I am going to give it a try.

I am not a year yet but I had my surgery in September last year. I am thankful that I have been able to make, at the very least, a wonderful lifestyle change. I always use my immediate preop weight but I was looking at some old MD papers and saw I was even 20lbs more than my preop weight. I am so thankful not only to be free of those pounds but to not have gained it back. I want at least 100lbs but I thank God for where I am.

I am 6 months out since my surgery and had lose about 40lbs. Today I went for a follow up and found that I had gained 3 lbs. it was very disheartening. Just wondering if anyone experienced a gain and how did you get past it weight loss wise and emotionally? It really took the air out of my sail.

Yes check Craigslist. I got a Gazelle from there this weekend for $20. It was a great buy.

How is the gazelle working for you? I just bought one from someone on Craigslist for those days I cannot get out. I hope it works, lol..

Everything everyone was saying is the truth. If you want this to work you must eat like the rest of us. As they said you cannot eat as if you never had the band. Surgery, no matter how small or how big of an incision you may have, it is a serious entry into your body. Honor this vow you made to yourself and slow down. It will get better.

You look absolutely beautiful!!! I cannot wait! It is such an inspiration. What was the most effective think that you did during this process?

It's frustrating but plateaus are expected during the weight loss process.
How many calories are you eating a day?
I am getting in about 1200 cal per day when I look at my daily log but it is more fruits and veggies and not enough peotein.

Thank you so much. I never thought about that. We always think we are taking in too much and never think about not enough.
Great point.

I am really feeling kind of down. I had surgery in September 2012. I was feeling great and was losing. I then stopped. I exercise now 5 times a week. I stick to the cup of food but stopped losing. I have lost 40 lbs and try to stay motivated. I am thinking of going back to my full liquid diet days. I need help. I already have 8cc in my band. I do feel hungry at times but want to reserve the rest of my space for later.
Please tell me how I can jump start weight loss again .

I know there will be some hanging but does anyone have any exercises or machines at the gym that they could recommend to tone the abdomen particularly the lower abdomen?

Also make sure you weigh yourself first thing in the morning, after using the bathroom. Make sure the scale is on a hard surface and you are wearing similar clothing each time you weigh yourself. It is amazing how your weight differs at different times of the day.

I am feeling the same way. I have an appointment next week. I was told I can still go up a bit more as long as my UGI looks fine and having no problems, which I am not. I just don't feel I have enough restriction.
