  1. Thank you ladies - I do feel better about this- still waiting on the STD approval and it should be fine but if you're anything like me- I like all my ducks in a row so I can not worry. . Perhaps I'm overreacting. Sometimes these forums I read make my not want to post . Oh well..... I still learn a lot from reading too
  2. I see that but this just so happens to be a quote I cherish and thought it was good for you to hear my sleeve sista. Moving on..... I'm with you tomorrow and you will have to kick my butt!
  3. What's yours? I'm not sure what your asking me. I was venting.
  4. "nothing is a failure- unless you don't learn from it" Xoxo
  5. What?! That's it? . You're doing good!! Come on NG
  6. I'm starting tomorrow despite my doc only requiring the 48 hours. Oh boy- need positive vibes because I can talk myself out of just about anything unless a doctor tells me I "have to" do something. When that happens I don't ever stray. Ugh- here we go! Good bye my sweet olive garden!
  7. Thank you. I think I'm okay. Not too worried anyway. I'm doing this regardless. Talked to HR and they don't seem to have any issues. Whatever. LOVE this forum. LOVE the people and all the support!
  8. So I do everything right at work and apply for my short term disability through their contracted peeps and I get a letter denying me FMLA as I haven't been there for a year. I must add that despite this letter I'm moving forward. This can only mean they don't have to hold my job. According to our policy (I work for government) I qualify for STD after six months. I've surpassed that. So. I really am not reading too much Into this other than its yet another thorn in my side that isn't needed. . I'm trying to battle this bronchitis before surgery and I certainly don't want to be running around figuring all this out. I have calls in to both the contracted person as well as HR. HR is notorious for not retuning calls. I'm not though. I'll keep calling Pisses me off.
  9. I about puked at that pic (sorry). Haha- I wasn't quite sure what it was so I clicked on it. Just so happens to be something I usually don't/can't look at. Hahahahahahahahahha- really I laugh at myself and my neuroticness. Good luck!!
  10. Oh I know all about that guilt You, my dear, sound like you've done nothing but take care of others and now it's your turn. Heck with the house. You've got a husband and old enough children to help out. Time to take care of you. I fear that (and this is the therapist part of me because inevitably I can't control it) that this care taking business needs to be addressed maybe? I also being nervous is very normal. I don't want to be the bearer of bad news but it sounds like your family is perfectly capable of carjn for themselves and YOU for a little while
  11. I'm somewhat ready. I don't have a long pre op- just 48 hours but I'm also starting on Wednesday too. So tomorrow is my food funeral - ok I lied. I have had a six month food funeral . So I'm ready
  12. Positive thoughts and in my prayers. Yey!!
  13. Welcome I hope you will find this forum as helpful as I have!
  14. Omg you are beautiful! Great pic!
  15. Fabulous! THESE are the kinds of posts that make me realize there is some hope- congratulations!!
  16. Anesthesia is gooooood. Ask for a little versed prior to surgery to calm any nerves. Wonderful drug I tell you. Just sayin....
