  1. Good luck calom and welcome to the group!
  2. I have to be at the hospital at 9 and my surgery is at 11. How about you? I have a feeling I will be on this forum a lot from now on . I'm consumed with it right now.
  3. So sorry but it probably is for the best. The time will fly by.
  4. Thanks for the ideas and reassurance. I really appreciate it!
  5. Congrats Nichole! Pittguy I'm on at 11:00. I'm really nervous!
  6. I can soooo relate. I am nearing the end of 2 weeks of optifast and for 2 days all I could think of was Arby's! I have not cheated either but had quite a pity party. My poor husband has been eating on the deck in 90 degree weather. I got all upset bc he grilled out the other day and did not put the leftover hotdogs away immediately. Lol. Oh well we are almost there!
  7. I couldn't wait for my surgery date to get here and now that it is right around the corner I am kind of freaking out! I'm not so worried about the pain but am worried about the anesthesia. They say most people worry about waking up during or not waking up after. I'm worrying about both. Could you please share your experiences? I think it would help me calm down. This is not my first surgery and I didn't have problems before so I'm not sure why I am focused on this. Thanks!
  8. I know less then one week! Aside from some occasional head hunger ( I'm craving Arby's), I'm doing ok. No cheating but I am so ready to start the next chapter!
  9. Congrats! I had my final consult today as well. Looks like it is a go for me too!
  10. Amen to that! Had my preop testing today and will see my surgeon for the final consult tomorrow. Gonna spend the rest of the week getting things ready at the house and work. I have lost 15 pounds so far. Hopefully my liver is nice and shrunk.
  11. I was nauseous for a few days and then it started trouble subside. Not having that problem very much anymore.
  12. I'm on the 8th day of my 2 week Optifast preop diet. It is tough but it does get better. I'm also allowed sf Jello and sf Popsicles, lettuce and cucumbers. Hang in there. Keep your eyes on the prize!
  13. How is everyone doing with their preop diets? It's day 7 of my preop diet. So happy to be halfway through it! It's been tough but I feel I have turned a corner.
  14. Congrats and welcome to the group!
  15. Hi everyone: I'm on day 5 of my 2 week preop diet and I have been feeling nauseous for the last few days. I like the shakes and the bars but can no longer tolerate the Soups. It seems especially bad when I get up after laying down. Has anyone else had this problem ?
  16. Doing ok. No headache but got dizzy this afternoon. I'm not hungry but I was missing food tonight. Gotta keep my eyes on the prize
