  3. I was diagnosed and started my cpap on June 27th. The machine was very quiet and as everyone has said....if the mask comes unsealed you'll hear the air forcing out. My mask is only on the nose as well. It made a WORLD of difference with how I felt during the day. However, I am looking forward to getting rid of it once I've lost enough weight!

  5. I want to try these just to see if I can get my boys to eat spinach!
  6. Yum, can't wait until next week to try it! Thanks for sharing.
  7. That is fabulous!! You are doing a terrific job...keep up the great work.
  8. Many people aren't good with "tact" when they are trying to express their concern. Maybe your family feels "tough love" is the best for you. That being said, it's still important you communicate to them "respectfully" that you appreciate their concern for you but it is YOUR responsibility to decide what goes in your body and YOU are the one who has to figure out what is ok and what is not ok for YOU. I haven't faced this scenerio yet but I have been thinking about how I will respond when the day comes. Hang in there.
  9. When I was on my pre-op I had a "Prix Fix" five course meal....it was DELICIOUS!!!! But got right back on track and made it to my pre-surgery goal with no problem. Just say goodbye to "yesterday" and make better choices today. You'll be fine.
  10. How is it going with the Coke Detox? I had been a Diet Dr. Pepper addict for over 20 years and thought no way in heck I would ever be able to get off of it. I even told the dietician I didn't think I would be able to do it. Well....I haven't had a Diet Dr. Pepper since May 5, 2012 and I don't even miss them anymore. On top of that I feel better than I have in a long time....no jitters, caffiene (or lack of) headaches OR spending the money on them every day (I drank six 16 oz bottles per day). It was worth it!

  12. I think you are perfectly normal. I've had the same thoughts and concerns. All of those I know personally who have had the sleeve ALL say it was totally worth it to them....that they feel more alive and they are living life to the fullest. You'll do great.
  13. I made this for breakfast and it was sooo yummy! Thanks for the idea!
  14. So sorry you're not getting the accolades you deserve from those close to you. But you should be very proud of yourself!!! What an amazing accomplishment!
  15. Hmmmm? I've never seen cheesecake flavored pudding. I'll have to look for that!
  16. I'm making this one this weekend! Before I get sleeved.....and hope I still like it after I get sleeved!
  17. Remember....they operated on your stomach....not your brain! Give yourself some grace, tomorrow is a new day and you can do it!!!! My pre-surgery class instructor said "treat your new tummy as if it were newborn. Be gentle and attentive....treat it with care.
  18. No regrets billyvmom!!!! Just focus on you...don't worry about others. I think its natural to have these fears...I have had them! I just keep reminding myself I made this decision for ME and I'm the only person I need to answer to. Hang in there.
