Anyone having problems with MFP today?

I comply with the rules of no drinking before eating, but was just curious as to why we have to do this? It does not make logical sense to me, liquid passes on through so it's not filling up the pouch above the band to hinder eating my protein and other food, but I definitely understand not drinking after eating because it does fill you up after food and sometimes comes up. Anyone know why we can't drink before eating? Just curious is all.

LAPBAND and TAXES ready to file soon
2012 replied to waiting&waiting's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm interested in this too, I don't know if this will do any good, but I'm taking mileage numbers to and from the doctor for all visits to add to the total for taxes. I hope it helps because it would be nice to get some of this loan paid down. -
The dreaded BM talk
2012 replied to cole&matt'smom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I used MOM after surgery to get going and from that point put myself back on probiotics, which did the trick. I was on Pearls (fear of larger probiotic size I took before surgery) for 6 months and they did good but then I started not going my normal schedule so I switched to Culterelle (bigger pill but goes down fine) and I have gone every day, unbelievable, I just hope this stuff keeps up, not the going every day, but keeping this regular, I feel 100 times better. -

If anyone has a Kroger around them, I found that they carry it now (organic food area) the other day and this was at one of the smaller Kroger, not the super one. Almond butter and sugar free fudgsicles are my weakness -
Carbonated drinks? Are they really that bad?

Thank you Aqusis, you just made a lot of lap banders that miss their sodas happy . How much flavoring do you add to how much Water? -
Carbonated drinks? Are they really that bad?
2012 replied to Harrier's Woman's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Ask your doc if you can let one go flat to get rid of the carbonation before drinking it? The carbonation is the issue with the drink and unfortunately they don't have a water flavoring that tastes like soda, but that would be a good. Maybe someone should write crystal light? They have alcohol flavorings, so why not soda? -
NSV....funny how good they make you feel!

That's too funny gowalking, I went to the salon today too and asked my stylist if they got new chairs in the last year . First time I saw her it was really uncomfortable and I barely fit, now I have wiggle room! Yay! -
I agree A New Dawn, sometimes I just don't plan enough and end up drinking right before a meal (actually did it today which triggered this question ), but I am pretty good about waiting the 30 minutes after eating.

Thank you both. I might just do that TMF and bring it up at my next visit in early Feb.

I made this today and it is awesome! Thank you for posting Patty!

I'm not sure, but did you try camomile tea? This may be what you mean by warm tea, but was not sure.

Thanks dylanmiles, we have some pretty good trollbusters on here . That same name popped up in some posts and they were on it like hawks in calling out the post and that they were a troll.

Patty just recently posted a link to the web site for that Smart Balance and they have some really good recipes.http://www.smartbalance.com/recipes. I'm going for cholesterol numbers in a couple of weeks and I do the low carb and this has concerned me if my diet is going to keep it high, or maybe since I'm down 76lbs it's getting better, or back to the statins (runs in the family). Ugh and oatmeal really does help, my dad eats it every day. I can't stand it though, try to love it, but no go.

Mushy stage is really hard to get up in calories (at least I had a hard time with it), hopefully the nut can help, I still had a hard time getting in calories on solids, but I'm getting better at it.

Give me a little more to work with. What stage are you in as far as eating, mushies only? How many calories are your goal a day?
