Had surgery August 23rd weight day of surgery 285 weight this morning 261 so I'm down 24 lbs Everything seems to be going fine so far :-)

Ok so my surgery date of August 23rd is comming quick and that's why I'm asking all these questions I just want be prepared. I was wondering what some of you brought to the hospital and what was the items you bought for the first week/ maybe even second week?

I hear ppl on here say it gets better as time goes on, I'll pray that happens for you, I'm sure it won't be that much longer.

Today is 3 weeks since my surgery and I'm down 21 lbs Is there any August 23rd sleevers who's losing about the same as me or better?

I'm eating tuna fish salad, crab salad, Tialpia made a lot different ways and from different restaurants, Salmon, shrimp, roast beef from Golden Corral, sliced ham with string cheese, 1 buffalo chicken drumette, a couple bites gumbo with chicken & sausage, boudin just 1 bite though lol the rice swells u. Chili, cooked veggies carrots, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, refried beans, eggs. I had potato soup but won't do that again it filled me up way to fast. I'm not getting that much protein in either, you maybe doing better then I am I'm only getting my protein from food I eat. I drink about 2 1/2 bottles of 16.9 fl OZs water a day that's about it. Oh and I eat 1 oz at breakfast 1 1/2 at lunch and 2 ozs at dinner. I do take my vitamins faithfully. You doing fantastic 26 lbs in a lil over 3 weeks that's Great.

Also how much can you eat at 1 sitting like how many Ozs can your sleeve hold?

SMB I'm right there with everything you just said I can eat and then a few hours later I'm hungry again and I catch my self opening chips for my kids and eating 1 I also say my tummy must be made of steel cause I can eat different things with no problem as long as I chew good. I defnatly dont like feeling hungry all through the day though. :/

I left mine in untill It was completely empty, that was about 5 days. I did not want to feel any pain in my belly and when you take it out it doesn't hurt at all, hope this helps

Can anybody tell me what kinds of soups you were eating 11 days out and I start mushy stage in 4 days any suggestions what I can eat?

Thanks this helps out a lot, I should have made me some soups before surgery and froze some but I guess it's not to late.

Thanks I think I'll try doing that with red beans. I'm really needing flavor as well

I Was wondering if bad headaches are normal a couple days out of surgery?

Well I was sleeve at 7 this morning and it's 4:00 now and so far so good other then some mean gas lol I'm doing ok I think, I was able to drink 2 oz of water in like 2 hours with no pain and with ease going down. Is this normal I don't even feel sleeved? Also is it going to hurt when I wake in the morning? And prayers please this always helps :-) thanks y'all everybody is so great on here!
