Of complications arising at 4 months post op? I have had no issues until yesterday and I started having pain on the left side of my abdomen. Today even when i drink water it is uncomfortable. I called my surgeons office today and the nurse said he wanted to see me tomorrow since he was off today. Just not sure what to expect. My surgeons office is an hour away and scared he will keep me then ill be in a panic to get my son from school.

Not gallbladder. Had that out 1month post op. -
I use flintstones and haven't had any issues. I met with my surgeon last week and he notified me that i should be taking 2 twice a day instead of one twice a day like my NUT told me.

kaysonsmom replied to ShrinkyDinkMe22's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had stones before being sleeved but had no issues so it was left alone. Was sleeved July 12 and needed gallbladder out August 12 because I was in so much pain. -
Use Your First Six Months Wisely
kaysonsmom replied to june13sleever's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My physical therapist said that the closer you get to goal in the first 6 months the more likely you are to maintain in the long run. I met with my surgeon on Wednesday for my 3 month check up. He said the way Im losing I should be to goal at 6 months. In February I was 262, I was sleeved July 12 and was 241. Im now about 190 and my goal is 150. Surgeons goal is between 150-170. -
Vitamin water zero also has a lemonade that is pretty good. Tried it for the first time the other day and was surprised it wasn't very tart.

Anyone Else Have A Goal Size?
kaysonsmom replied to SexySlim's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would like to get close to a size 10. I started at 241 and a size 22 and Im now at 190 and a size 16. My surgeons goal weight for me is 175 and my personal goal is 150. Im 5'7" so I don't know how Ill look when I hit 150. -
I was wondering the same but not with food. I have to take my thyroid medication before i eat anything and when i take a small drink to swallow it i can tell my stomach is a little restricted right away in the morning.

I had issues with my gallbladder a month after i was sleeved. A Ct scan i had done last year showed stones but i never had issues til after i was sleeved. Went to e.r. and the e.r. Doc admitted me and him and the surgeon had a bet on if i needed surgery or not. E.r doc thought i needed it and surgeon didnt. Next morning surgeon got in and my gallbladder was so inflamed that he had to drain it to remove it. My bile was clear instead of normal green cuz my gallbladder was blocked for so long. He said that's extremely rare. So i think the surgeon lost the bet but both docs were absolutely fabulous.

I love powerade zero. I've tried vitamin water zero also and its pretty good. -
Its weird how all surgeons are different. I talked to my surgeons nurse today and she said no Nsaids cuz there's a chance for ulcers to develop.

kaysonsmom replied to 120darby's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Right before surgery i was 241. 5'7" i think my bmi was 39 or pretty close to 40. I only had sleep apnea. My paperwork was submitted and i wad approved the next day. Im now 13 weeks out and down to 195ish. -
I think at 2 weeks it was taking me quite awhile. I would say more like 40-45 mins. It was so heavy and sat in my stomach. Im 3 months out now and it takes me about 20 mins to get it down

Does Being On Birth Control {Hormone Based} Affect Your Weight Loss Is Any Way?
kaysonsmom replied to SensationallySassyT's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I've been on the depo shot and haven't noticed any difference. Im suppose to get my next shot next Monday and Im gonna ask what she thinks would be my best option. I really like depo cuz of the decreased periods (before surgery i would get one a couple week before my next shot was due. Since surgery i haven't even had any spotting probably cuz of the weight loss). -
Just remember to sip sip sip. I was weak for quite awhile after my surgery.

I was sleeved July 12 and Im down 45 pounds. -
I think you should see your doctor. Could be vitamin deficiency so labs are probably needed.
