Im a year out and am always cold. I didn't really start having an issue til i was probably about 6 mos out. I usually always have to have a sweatshirt with me. For example at work my coworkers will complain that its hot in the office and ill have my little heater blowing on me. It sucks but its a little inconvenience for losing 90 lbs.

Got the call tonight saying i won my appeal to have my panniculectomy done!!!! I have never been so excited. Hoping for surgery within the next month

I didn't have to put anything. The coordinator at my surgeons office did everything. I just had to sign a paper saying the insurance could talk to her. I sent that paper in last week and I got the approval last last.

My info has been submitted to insurance for my panni so Im hoping to be having mine soon. I will definitely share pics with u. Im so excited. I can't wait -
Im considering having a panni. Im about 10 months post op and my surgeon suggested i see his partner for a consult. My insurance requires me to see a nurse practitioner for 3 consecutive months. My 3rd appt is May 15. My boyfriend and I have been considering having a baby sometime in the near future. I would probably have to have a repeat c-section. So would it be smarter to have a baby then the panni? Im going to ask the nurse practitioner in May but Id like to get opinions before then.

Exactly! I don't know how long i would have to wait after the panni to have kids but my boyfriend is saying he wants to have a baby soon. So what do i do? Ahhh i dunno

Cant sleep can i take benadryl?
kaysonsmom replied to minnie78's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can't sleep. I was prescribed ambien. Still couldn't sleep so doc told me to take benadryl with the ambien. Still can't sleep...so i would say its fine to take some benadryl. -
It has to be done by the doc. But if u have skin breakdown or whatever in between appts you can take pics and and give them at your appts

I met with my surgeon the other day. He told me he would cut all the way around me. I think he tried to scare me out of it. I have to see the doc for 3 months in a row then everything gets sent to insurance and we see if i can get it.

I have seen really good results. Im a distributor.

Yeah i have issues with irritated skin mostly in my belly button. My insurance covers it.

kaysonsmom replied to Jenny12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Gallbladder Removal During Vsg
kaysonsmom replied to ArcusX's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was having slight gallbladder pain the day of my sleeve. I had diagnosed stones but never had an issue. Doc left it in and exactly one month later i had emergency surgery to remove it. Gallbladder was a super easy surgery, went home same day. My sleeve surgeon told me he would be too fatigued to take it out. -
When Do You Take Miralax?
kaysonsmom replied to LDallas's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Twice a day... -
I have heard some other people mention this. They said the cpap is pushing in too much air and its going into their stomach. Might be something to talk to the doc about? I never used my cpap after surgery so i don't know if that could be it or not.

Sleep Problems?
kaysonsmom replied to SeriouslyChange's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My insomnia was bad before i was sleeved. I think its worse now cuz i can take my ambien and still don't sleep through the night. There's been a couple times when i wake up and can't fall back asleep so i take a melatonin. I don't have a problems falling asleep. Its staying asleep that i have problems with.
