  1. I was sleeved last Wed as well... The Chamomile Tea has been great... It really soothes your tummy and it has helped with the gas!
  2. I don't have trouble wearing pants... I had my surgery on 12.12.12... My belly was swollen, but I pulled out jeans to wear out of the house yesterday and they were fine... All of my incision sites are above my belly button at least 2 inches...
  3. I have my surgery today at noon... Have to be at the hospital by 10...
  4. Today is my day too!!! I am excited!! Good luck to you ladies!
  5. My doctor told me once I am in the solids stage I can basically eat whatever I want, just in smaller quantities... He said your body will tell you what it can and can't tolerate... If you listen to it and don't over eat you will be successful.
  6. Did your doctor tell you that you had to loose a certain amount of weight before surgery? I am having surgery tommorow too and my doctor told me I didn't need to do the pre-op diet... I have been kind of panicing these past few days, but I guess I just figure my Dr knows best... I haven't gone crazy with my eatting but I am afraid to weigh myself bc I don't want to have gained weight!
  7. I was just making my Christmas cards and I vowed that next year we will be putting a family picture on them, not just pictures of our very adorable 3 year old!
  8. I am gonna have to say don't do it... I am 27, my dad, 45, just started dating a 30 year old and it pisses me off more then anything in the world! The woman in me is saying "You go girl" but knowing how your kids would feel I would say "don't do it"
  9. i more week... is everyone excited?!? I know I am!!
  10. I just told my work I was having surgery... You don't have to tell them what kind of surgery and I don't believe they are allowed to even ask...
  11. I am being sleeved on 12.12.12 and I have the same feeling. I was actually just saying this to my mom on Sunday... What if I am the one case that this procedure doesn't work for. I am not nervous at all for the surgery, however I am nervous about it working... Deep down inside I think I know that it will, but I still have that little bit of doubt!
  12. QVC sells the best tights. They have fleece inside them and they are super opaque... They look like regular tights and aren't bulky at all... They are really warm for the winter months. I forget what the brand is but I think it is sonething like fleeceytights... They're awesome... They come in great colors and last forever and wash really well!
  13. What is the date of your surgery? Mine is 12/12...
  14. I am worried because I am not nervous... People keep asking me if I am nervous and I'm honestly not... I am just so ready!
  15. I hope I am ok with Salads post-op... I love them and we eat a lot in the summer months. They are the best quick meal on a hot summer night. We just grill all different tyoes if meat and make different salads with them... I am having surgery on 12.12... Hopefully by late spring/early summer I will be able to tolerate salad.
  16. Awesome! It's so great you could get it done this year! I am Dec 12th... here's to starting off 2013 on a new foot!
  17. December 12 here! I just told my husband last night that this will be the last year we do a Christmas card with just our 3 year old on it! THroughout the next year I am hoping we can get some nice pictures of the 3 of us and actually put a FAMILY picture on our Christmas card... Not that my 3 year old isnt adorable, I just want all of us on there for once!
  18. When I have my TOM I can gain up to 5 lbs but it is always gone by the end...
  19. My surgery is 12.12.12... I went for pre-op testing last week. They did EKG, took my vitals, a ton of blood work, chest x-ray and I spoke with a Surgical RN and Anesthesia at the hospital. Then I went to my drs office and met with my surgeon for the last time before surgery. He went over any last minute questions I had, and also told me I didn't need to do the 2 week pre-op diet (I am doing it anyway, I started today), at the Surgeon's office I also signed my concent forms.
  20. I am getting my surgery on Dec 12th as well. I am glad to hear you are doing this for yourself! I have been through having a miscarriage 4 times now and each and everytime I wonder if I wasn't heavy would I have still had a miscarriage. Being overweight makes pregnancy hard enough for me let alone that I have PCOS, so I am hoping to lose weight and have baby #2 and be healthy and happy and enjoy the rest of my life with my kids
  21. In regards to the pre-op diet... At my last Nut meeting in October, she (my nut) told me that I would have to do 1 week pre-op diet... When I met with the Surgeon he said I wouldn't need it... Now I am confused. I know the surgeon knows best... But I also know it wouldn't HURT for me to do the pre-op diet for at least a week... I was planning to do it for 2 weeks... Anything to help prepare right??? So I am going to start slow. On Wed (11/28) I am starting to do protien shakes for breakfast and I will eat a lean cusine for lunch and Protien and Veggies for dinner. Starting Monday (12/3) I will start the diet given to me by the Nut which is Shake for breakfast and lunch yougurt or fruit as a snack if desired and protien and veggies for dinner.
  22. If he even uses your weight (higher or lower) as a reason not to be attracted to you he has issues. If he loves you truely he will love you no matter what size you are and he will continue to be attracted to you if you lose 1 more pound or 100 more pounds... I dont think you NEED to tell him about surgery, I think you should take some time and spend it by yourself. Get to your goal no matter what that might be... If you still have some lingering feelings for him, meet up with him, talk in person, let him see how you are as beautiful thin as you were heavy. If he looks at you and still can't resist you then he truely does have feelings for you... If not then his loss!
  23. Connie3... How old are your children...? Will you need help with them after surgery? I understand not telling many people about your surgery... I only told my husband, mom, my best friend of 15 years and my sister in law. I told my dad he had a nasty reaction to it but I honestly think he forgot already... I am not telling people, other then the people I really feel should know and they already do! I will tell people in my family after... I don't want or need to deal with their comments before!
  24. I am a redhead too and I ALWAYS get the "oh you have such nice hair" But people never seem to think it is natural!
