  2. Hello everyone. I am tee. I originally was on yhe lapbandtalk forum but in recent weeks have decided to switch over to the sleeve. Hope to gain as much info here as possible. A little info... I have aetna Am currently in my third month (90th day). My last appt before submission to insurance is Nov. 21st!!!!! Yes excited but nervous..... havent lost much weight as I have some Water retention issues:-( 26 y/o, Richmond, VA Hoping to have surgery done before december! Motivations are fertility increase, health increase, energy increase, predisposed illness decrease. I am newly married and would like to have a little one to complete the love :-) Any info you all can provide is super appreciated. I am a bit nervous about having my stomach cuy out but also know now i wont tolerate the band mentally due to the amount of complications and constant mental awareness... also with the economy the way it is, i have to think of the worse. If i lose my job while I have the band that could affect my care in the future (until I find another)... Most of the time I type from my phone so this is my long term apology up front... " I apologize for the typos"!:-) Thank you

  8. I can attest to the pms weight gain. Every month it just soooo hsppened i was scheduled the week of my cycle, pure coincidence, to have my monthly meetings w/ the surgeon..!!!!! For this 3 month period ot actually looks like i gained weight from my initial appt. I just took some diurex or ramped up my Water intake from 64 to 80oz a day.. it helps!!!!! Best of luck and you should be fine Sent from my SAMSUNG GALAXY SII Skyrocket using LapBandTalk
  9. Jachut- it is perfectly fine to like what u like and not like other things. Social " norms" are just that. 51% over the 49%. Lol. So dont be embarrased. This has actually been a good topic:-). I say do whatever it is you and your mate need to do to take you to the moon. If your trip doesnt include as many miles as others, woohoo!!! Lol. 11. Oh my kittylove.. thats something we should never get used to once we have been introduced to it. Is this after you all have talked about the issue? Im sorry to hear though. But if your cool with then we r cool with it for you too!!! Sent from my SAMSUNG GALAXY SII Skyrocket using LapBandTalk
  12. I had a 4 hour appt. The session and the test. It was almost 700 true false questions!!!!! I swear it would have driven me to do all the things they mentioned. I really became agitated because they keep asking the same question over and over and over again!.. arghhhhh... but.. there is nothong to it.. just to make sure you dont have an underlying issue that may need to be resolved. The psychologist ticked me off though. She doesnt like the lap band at all and tried to sway me to switch. She told me that most fail and im not guaranteed to lose weight like the other. Not even remotely interested. I am working hard now and will contjnue to work hard then. The data thats out generalizes everyone. The people who do succeed get their results washed up with the majority who dont. Good luck to you on your journey!!!! Sent from my SAMSUNG GALAXY SII Skyrocket using LapBandTalk
  13. Talkalot-- this may not be appetizing but they make powdered egg white Protein powder. I saw it at Vitamin shoppe! Sent from my SAMSUNG GALAXY SII Skyrocket using LapBandTalk
  14. You have a lot of peoplr who care for you and that you care for in some way. You HAVE to make time. Even if its just 5 or 10 min several times a day. It may hurt to do so but its necessary. If you dont take care of you there wont be a you to take care of them. Ive learned that people should receive their "flowers" while they are still here..... take care.. I call it my built in carseat for backrodes :-) Depending upon what i wear, i can easily get the spogebob square pants look!.. so shirts always come down just enough to the round area of my backside. There. Problem solved! Lol Sent from my SAMSUNG GALAXY SII Skyrocket using LapBandTalk

  20. Honestly if you have time and really want to get down to the bottom of it, keep a detailed journal. Not in any specific form if you dont want to. Note things like sleep wake times Eat times and what you ate Especially what you ate and what you WANTED to eat. Your mood Planned or unplanned meals Any stressors if you can identify Etc....... I am on the road to being banded and found this worked for me. I learned a lot about my day to day habits and really found out I wasnt eating food that satiated me. It may have filled me but didnt hit my taste buds just right ... finding out what makes you eat can help you find other activities to combat it. Tweaking recipes and combining flavors is a joyous occassion. As mentioned in another post, counseling is great too. Talking to us helps too. We wont judge only nudge you jn the right direction. Dont kick yourself while you are dow. Stand back up, dust off, plan your course and start moving. Most importantly, keep it moving once you start! Your new habits and knowledge will kick in and all will be well. Take your time and accept the changes as they happen :-) feel better senorita!
