  1. How bad is the pain? I am thinking tummy tuck and I need old implants taken out new ones in and a lift kit? Do you think that's a week?
  2. I am3 weeks postop with Dr. Lopez. Zero complications! BMI was 31.9 and I am down 23 lbs. I was in TJ but I just thought I would share.
  3. I eat about 700 calories a day 55-60 grams of protein. I can't do protein shakes I just don't like to drink my meal.
  4. Same date as me 8/9/12. I am at 21 lbs. but 6 of those were pre-op lbs. I am hoping my body is just readjusting or something but I have to admit I am scared that this is it.
  5. Butterthebean explain how I can read this please Thanks
  6. I brought Miso soup with me and just asked for hot water to make my own broth. Marriott broth was bad!
  7. Can someone please list some examples of what they call slider foods? I am new sleever and I dont want to aquire any bad habits early on. Thanks
  8. Dr. Lopez and his wife Dr. Osana a great team in TJ for 4500 includes everything except airfare. I had no complications and everyone there was wonderful.
  9. I crave cottage cheese and sugar free fudge sickles . I hated cottage cheese before surgery.
  10. 2 weeks out and getting discouraged by the day. My weight loss has been slow!
  11. I think I am able to eat way more than I should after 2 weeks out. I am also losing really slow. HELP I am starting to think like every other diet that has failed so will this one.
  12. My final meal was the week before when I divorced Food, Michelob Ultra and Diet Soda. It was a difficult day!
  13. If you consider a final meal to be The Marriott Tijuania chick broth, lol. Their chicken broth is horrible by the way.
  14. Pure Protein Banana shake, Chocolate and Cookies and Creme. I bought them at Vitamin World. They are more expensive than your average shake but much better in taste and 40 grams of protein 1 carb.
  15. Glad to hear you did well Aprilsolea. I was hoping you too had as great a experience with them as I did. Have a good time recovering on the beach in Puerto Vallarta. That sounds like its going to be rough to take, lol.
  16. I walked by a mirror in a store and didn't recognize myself. It wasn't me I didn't look that big. Anyway I did some research for about a week around the end of July and had my surgery August 9th in Mexico.
  17. I just had surgery in TJ by Dr. Lopez and his wife Dr. Osuna. It had absolutely zero to do with price point. I was Originally going to have surgery in Baltimore for 23000 dollars. I however am a extremely impatient person and I didn't want to go to nutrition classes and psyche evaluations and pad all the US doctors friends pockets unnecessarily. I had an absolutely wonderful experience with no complications and one of the less expensive doctors. I also booked surgery exactly one week before I had the surgery performed. Which for me the week wait was too long. The care was so great I plan to spend the money I saved with my surgery on a lift and tuck when I lose weight. I plan to go back to TJ to have that as well.
  18. Its a surgical soap used before surgery. I also put no lotion on my stomach a week before surgery. I am not sure if it helped but I used it. I think it was under 10 dollars. I think my husband bought it at a pharmacy in or near a hospital. I am still using it and my incisions look good.
  19. I did buy a bottle of hibiclens and washed my stomach with that 3 days before up until the day of surgery and I am still washing with it.
  20. I shaved because I would not have been able to stand myself for that time, lol. I also got a pedi with polish and a mani with clear polish the day before I left.
  21. PS my cab drivers name is Alejandro Medina (speaks English) or his brother Francesco Medina(no English) Went on tours with both and they are great. They are where they say their going to be at the time they say their going to be there. Its about 15-18 dollars an hour for their services but well worth it if you like to explore your surroundings.
  22. Just a update on my Mexican adventures. Today we hailed a cab and went to a little town called Puerto Nuevo. Absolutely beautiful right on the Ocean Cliffside. My husband had 3 lobsters with 4 sides rice, beans, soup and homemade tortillas and a Margarita for $15 dollars. I can hardly believe it but i was so satisfied with my lime popsickle. They say after surgery youre truly not interested in food and I didnt believe it, but so true. We then went to Rosarito Beach which was a real happening spot. My total trip was about 6-7 hours walked the whole time and I feel great. We leave tomorrow am but I have already started looking into to plastic surgery here so I can come back, lol.
