Having surgery with Dr. Lopez on August 9th. I can hardly wait.

I am also interested in this answer as I am scheduled for the 9th

I have spoke with Rhonda who had bypass surgery so she passed me to Janese who had sleeve surgery. She had been wonderful. She gave me her cell number because she is out of town for 2 days. I am sure she sensed that I am a super pain in the butt and figured I would have a crazy question of some sort, lol. Well I have it if you need it.

Who was your coordinator? My lady Janese who is so awesome gave me her cell number and she will actually be there at the same time we will staying at the hotel. Can you contact the coordinator?

Did your doctor say why no diet?

Yes I wonder if we will all be on the same floor like a bunch of patients at a hospital. The whole concept is really strange to me but I am going with it. How did you decide on Garcia? Lord I hope I made the right decision. I am starting pre- op diet tomorrow so I did it up today with food. All of my favorite things.

I am pretty sure I will be at INT but we will probably be at hotel at the same time.

August 9th with Lopez went through A lighter me. Choose him because the husband wife team both bring bariatric surgeons it's like two docs for the price of one. Also I hear their anestesiologist is also good which is important to me since that is the person that technically keeps you alive during surgery.

August 9 th in TJ, Mexico. I am so nervous but when I read these post it relieves some of the stress.

Where are you having it done?

I am August 9th my BMI is just under 32 my coordinator told me to drink 3 shakes and a salad with lean protein for dinner starting tomorrow then starting Sunday only clear liquids until surgery. She said there is a big difference in people's healing and how bad they feel after operation if I follow the diet I should do fine. I am going to really try to stick with it but I am going to starve.

I am booked for surgery on August 9th. Starting my pre-op tomorrow. I plan to spend the day eating some of my favorite things. The biggest thing I will miss will be sushi. I am sure my favorite restaurant will miss me as well. Since I eat there 3 times a week. My wallet will not miss them, lol

I would love to make it a vacation too however I have found it nearly an impossible task to get a flight to Puerto Vallarta from the east coast. Not only in price but without 3 stops and 13 hours. I think if I am feeling bad I am not going to want to be in a plane for that long.

Thinking about August 9th. I am so nervous to pick because I had already picked a doctor and probably lost my deposit.

My cousin had lap and and she seams happy with it but I want something permanent. I don't want to have another surgery if the first one fails.

Tell me about Dr. Kelly please. He wasn't on my list and maybe he should be. How did you decide. I am so confused and I know all these coordinators make money for bookings. They all say their doc is the best.

I first started wanting lap band, then plication and now I am considering the sleeve. My BMI is right around 32. Can you tell me how you made the choice of the sleeve?

Can anyone tell me about Dr. Ortiz, Dr. Garcia, and Dr. Alvarez as I am confused about which Dr. has the most experience with the sleeve.

Who is doing your surgery?

I live in Sharpsburg but have always been a fan of Baltimore healthcare so that's where I had planned on getting surgery. The cost is 15000. Anyone who knows cost of any other areas with a good doctor would be greatly appreciated. I understand the phrase you get what you pay for but 4000 only goes to the doctor and 11000 to the hospital. I have to admit I am pretty scare to go to Mexico.

Just started the process but I am self pay so I think it will go pretty quick I have an appointment with Dr. Averbach from St. Agnes on August 1 and the nutritionist on Aug 2
