I had my sleeve done on July 5, 2012 and have had great success. I am down 75 lbs. my husband wanted to do it as well but because he wasn't on my insurance, mine covered the surgery and his didn't, he couldn't have it. Well we were finally able to get him on my insurance and now he is having his surgery on Monday, March 11, 2013! I am so excited for him. He is to an he's anxious. I can't wait for us both to be as happy as I feel right now

When I decided to have my surgery I decided that I would only tell a few people that I trust. Once I had my surgery I found it difficult when people asked me how I was losing my weight. I feel like I am living to them if I don't tell them. But I don't want to tell them. I feel like their praise is not for me if I lie to them. I know I am a weirdo

I also had my sleeve done on wife's insurance, she had RNY before me. It is great to face the struggles together and Celebrate the victories.

I do feel so much better. I have become more active, health is better and feel like my old self from my younger years. I do believe that one day I will see it all as everyone else does. I debated saying anything on here but I am glad that I did. My friends and coworkers don't understand my thoughts on this but they were never in the position I was in.

I am so happy to be over the first few weeks. I am feeling so great! Feeling normal again but BETTER. Oh and by the way I have lost 35 lbs so far! Can you say AMEN! Woooohooooooo!

You also know when it's happening because all the sudden your mouth is full of saliva

I had it last night and it was heaven in my mouth!

Was so excited about it. It didn't even feel uncomfortable going down and that was the first time since my sleeve! I just chewed really good and no butter but it was still so yummy and I finally felt like I have eaten since being sleeved!
