    Anyone Start At 240Ish Lbs?

I am 33 yrs old, 3 kids, 5'4 and I was 236 on my surgery day. I had the surgery May 1st, so its been 4 months, and as of today i have lost 70 lbs. I dont drink carbonated drinks, wait 30 minutes after eating to drink, workout boot camp every day, and dont eat any carbs. I have lost 60% of my excess body fat. My idealweight is120, so I still have a long road ahead!
  3. are those classes given by your drs office? or is it a different thing? mine are part of his "process" . I wasnt required to lose any weight. I was self pay, but it did help during the preop diet and post op and still today ( 4 months postop), they even had a fashion show at macys last month hahaha..... wearing borrowed dresses in smaller sizes
  4. hello! I had to go to a couple of those classes preop, and then, according to my surgeon, I will hace to go one a month for life. ..... even though it is not mandatory in my case, it is encouraged. They are actually very interesting. Here they are totally pro-sleeve, and they share recipes, tips, clear out doubts, and remind you everytine of the basic things you have to do in order to succeed. Sometimes they even have guests, like a physician speaker, or a rep from bariatric advantage and they give out a bunch of goodies. I love those classes
  5. thank you for the tip. ( my phone cover doest really help with spelling lol) i'm pretty new to this, so Ill make sure To look up topics before posting.
  6. Haha.... It really is an unconfortable subject, but I cant really find much info online specifically to wls, so I was wondering if it had happened to someone else..... I think "it" is under control today hahaha...... so I feel great!
  7. thank you for your answer! for some reason no matter what I post I never get any comments, or hardly any! No idea why! it feels sad! but oh well...... thank you!
  8. great tip and do they go away? or is it something that will keep happening!? ive been doing some reasearch online but, im still scared it will be a recurrent problem!
  9. I felt that way too. I think that just the fact of altering your body is scary! however.... since I didnt really see any difference in my body ( except for the fact that I could eat way less) I personally thought of it as a diet, and just followed everything my nut and surgeon suggested. I am 4 months postop today, and except for little things here and there, I dont regret it a bit! I follow my eating plan and feel amazing! it is the best decision ever!!!!!! Sometimes people tell u things that scare you, but at the end of the day its all about you, and its all about how you feel!
  10. I had the sleeve at 236 lbs, and it was the best decision I've ever made! dont regret it at all! People are ALWAYS going to have an opinion , its only YOU who knows your body, your issues and your stuggle....... good luck
  11. after weeks of being all stressed out about finding the dress..... and without having any idea of the size, I found the strength and went out shopping for a dress!!! I found one! and it was a size 8! I almost cried!!!! I think last time I wore a size 8 was in elementary! hahH! i looooove my sleeve! i hope to reach my goal weight someday, but I sure am happy today just the way I am!!!

  15. oh my! I am 4 months postop an Im ready to see it coming! I go to a support group once a month, and most of the ladies wear wigs! ????and another one mentioned that she did everything she was told and still lost her hair.....( so, I already checked out some wigs) good thing is, everybody says it grows back about a yr after the hair loss starts...... not looking fwd to it! good luck!!!!
  16. just curious!,.... how do you know you are done losing? and how long after surgery did this happen to you?.....
  17. great for u!!! i am so glad to hear you are still losing! I gave in today and for the first time in 4 months had 3 bites of my sons pizza. i hope that shocks my body, so tomorrow i can go back to my all protein diet and start losing again!
