  1. B- smoothie and coffee L- stuffed pepper D-oatmeal and coffee 3L Water... and feeling good!
  2. 11 months ago I had lap band surgery. I've lost 40 pounds since then, I have no regrets about the surgery but know that I haven't used the band as the tool its suppose to be. So today I'm starting fresh, with the goal of being on track for my next appt with surgeon in November. I am a food addict and its a daily struggle, I've sought professional help and am feeling strong. On the food and nutrition page I plan on logging my daily food intake. Anyone in the same boat or words of wisdom most appreciated!
  3. Muscle Milk light ... love them buy them ready to drink at Costco!
  4. Thanks all, much appreciated. Just got back from a 30 minute walk and feeling great.
  5. Hi all... I was banded in October but have not yet had a fill. I gained 3 pounds over the holidays and find that I am constantly hungry. I see surgeon at the end of the month. But in the meantime would love some opinions on getting back on track! Thanks in advance.
  6. Hi all... Was banded in October. My surgeon doesn't do the first fill 4 months! He says stomach needs to heal. Feeling frustrated. Any advice as I wait would be appreciated!
  7. I teach second grade, had surgery with plication on Tuesday and went back to work the following Monday. First couple days were rough but then it was fine. Hardest part was and still is eating during the school day.
  8. Hi guys... I have to tell you that I am so surprised reading a lot of these posts about surgeons and foods/ post and pre diets. My surgeon required no pre diet, except liquids day before. The first few days after surgery were liquids, then mushies. I did well with mushies so he said to go ahead and try and eat solids- so far so good by the way:) His only rule/recommendation was max 1 c food three times a day, with two fruits as snacks if needed. Surgeon also says that we have to live, so if you want a treat go for it?! He doesn't fill for three months. As much as I love him and the guidelines I'm a bit worried when I hear other stories. Hoping its not too good to be true!
  9. I was banded five days ago, this morning as per my surgeons directions I had some thinned yogurt with protein sprinkled on tops. Since then I've had a thick slimy feeling at the back of my throat, What did I do? How do I fix it? Thoughts are most appreciated/

  11. I'll look forward to the responses.. I'm feeling the same way- 3 days post op for me as well. But even though my tummy is grumbling, I try to drink and can't finish anything. My doctor told me if the hunger gets really bad to poach and egg and it it very slowly chewing to liquid before swallowing! Good luck.
  12. The doctor told me that it was totally normal and that I'd likely need a laxative. I had surgery yesterday and will likely use a laxative this weekend.
  13. How are you this morning? My stomach muscles are so sore!
