I am 44 years old. I'm married and have 3 daughters. I have been overweight for 25 years ever since the birth of my first child. I have yo yo dieted ever since. I would lose weight just to gain it back plus more. I raised my kids and gave all I had to them g healtI sacraficed a lot. No regrets about that. I do still have a 13 year old daughter at home. But I felt like it was now or never I want to enjoy the rest of my forties. i want to avoid all the health problems that come with being overweight. I thought about lapband at first. Then did more research and learned about VSG. I felt like it was a better fit for me. I am excited about becoming healthier for my family!
I have no regrets about having VSG. It has been one of the best discussions I have ever made. I am now 2 years post op and have maintained my weight loss. I exercise and run at least 3 times a week. I eat healthy! I am loving life.
