Hi everyone, I have been looking for you guy's since the end of June..I just can't tell you how much this means to me to finally find you  I have tried unsuccessfully to find Zonies and here you all are! Thank you Lilly, I would love to have you as a sleeve buddy, bsmith thanks for your best wishes. I'm so excited I just don't know what to say. I am a revision, I had my band out June 26th, I couldn't get the revision done as it had eroded, thankfully not to much damage, but enough that I had to wait until the end of Oct. I just can't imagine what you went through bsmith, what a incredible story. I am a nurse and you are one lucky Lady! I to would love to meet each and everyone of you...Thank you for being here!!! Debbie
  5. Me too! Me too! I definitely need some sleeve sisters and brothers to talk to here in our beautiful state. My surgery is Oct.22 and I to want to start cleaning out my closet...I love that Lilly! I'm in my fifties, but don't feel like it LOL! I have a home in San Tan Valley. I have two grown sons and daughter in laws, and two grandchildren. I would really love to share my journey with someone who understands what's going on.

  8. Hey anyone out there from Arizona having their surgery in Oct?
  9. Hey my date has been moved up to Oct 22nd instead of Oct 29th...I'LL TAKE IT!!!
  10. Good for you, you made the best choice, you are going to love it! I've had mine for about 4yrs and I use it everyday. Walmart also has sugar free snow cone juice, I have bought several different flavors and just love my evening snow cone treat
  11. Hi my name is Debbie, I also am a nurse, a silver sleever ( and proud of it ) my date is Oct 29th and just can't wait until it get here!. Maybe its because I'm more wise at this age but I would have never let that " IMP " smirk at me and get away with it, you know people like that need to stop she is in a health food store for Gods sake, and is there to supposedly help people who walk in, not make them feel bad. Please for the next person you need to turn her into the management...She is bad for moral and bad for business...if she treats people like that in front of others she is showing other personnel how not to treat others, and sometimes that kind of attitude rubs off on others.I hope you get your date fast as this undoubtedly is driving you nuts. Sorry for the rant but your story makes me so mad, here you are so excited that you go into the store to get an early start on your new life, and have to put up with garbage like that...
  12. Hi my name is Debbie and I to will be heading to TJ but not until Oct 29th, I went in for a revision at the end of June this yr and came home with just my band out as they found that the band had eroded. Are you driving yourself? are you going alone?. If you are driving yourself I have to say that I don't think you should. My husband went with me and drove the 5/6 hrs. home and I was just miserable the whole way, I can't even imagine how I would have been had I had to drive myself. You can PM me with your phone # if you want to talk to someone with first hand knowledge, I will be glad to talk to you! but if you will have a driver you will be fine, if you will be flying you will be fine.
  13. Hi Susan, How are you doing, I see you have already had your surgery, I can't wait for mine! Oct 29th will be my date. Around the middle of Oct we will be heading for the valley, and be staying down there for 6 months. Our home here is just on the border of Show Low, and Linden, but we are technically in Show Low.
  14. Hello there! I'm not sleeved yet but 35g of carbs as an awful lot per drink, I have fallen in love with walmarts body fortress whey isolate its only got 0.5 net carbs per scoop it comes in vanilla and mixes well in any liquid, I use blue diamond almond milk unsweetened (40cals per cup). Dr. want you to limit carbs to shrink your liver. I to am going to Mexico and their pre and post-op diets aren't that good. I have gotten a lot of info by reading a book called Weight Loss Surgery Cookbook for Dummies, there is also a lot of info and a cheat sheet/recipes on line if you google that title. The book has wonderful recipes for every stage of our journey. I found the book at overstock for under 12.00, good luck to you
  15. I to am a revision candidate, in 2005 I went to Mexico and had my lap-band, I only lost around 45pds, because I couldn't ever eat what I was supposed to without getting sick, the band was sold to me as a lifetime devise and no one ever told me that to survive and actually get in enough calories that I would have to eat around the band. So because all meat made me toss my cookies, I ate mostly carbs. Then earlier this year I suddenly had so much pain in and around my sternum for around 30mins, so much so that I couldn't stand and barely breath. Then as fast as it came it was gone...Geez WHAT was that?...for the next week or so it felt like I was kicked in the stomach, but gradually I started noticing I could eat anything without restriction, and before I knew it I put back all the weight I had lost in about 6months. I started to look into getting this thing out, when I discovered the Sleeve. I'm a Nurse so the next thing I did was start research, and research I did for about 4 months. I chose a Dr. in Mexico for the revision, went June 26th just to find out that my band had eroded, so I came home without the band but also without the sleeve!. Most people that have the revision come home with the sleeve and have no complications, but there are a few of us on this site that have had erosion. Slippage is far more common and usually they are very successful and get their sleeve. I am going to Mexico to have Dr. Ponce in TJ do my revision the 29th of Oct. his price is 5500.00 and he is the Chief of Bariatric surgery and has been practicing since 1995, He has trained most of the doctors you see advertising right here on this site! If you would like to private message me with questions please feel free to do so. There are lots of people in this forum who have already had their surgery and can give you first hand accounts. Leaks can happen to anyone not just revisions, as you research you will discover many reasons people have had leaks, this is why you should research your Dr. very well, and just so you know, the Drs. in Mexico and other Country's have been doing this surgery for years and years, where as the Doctors here in the U S are just beginning to feel comfortable doing the revision.
  16. Thank you donnie for getting back to me, since I originally started this post, I have come to my senses, spoke with my coordinator who spoke with the surgeon. He says he always states the outside number of months and I should be fine to have my revision anytime in Nov, so I pushed the envelope and am going to be in San Diego the last week of Oct and have decided to have the surgery then, Oct 29th to be exact, as I have chosen a surgeon in TJ. I'm so glad everything worked out for you, I just can't imagine 90% of your band in your stomach. I guess I should be thankful that mine was just to the exterior.
  17. Aren't you still in the hospital?
  18. Oct 29th for me with Dr. Ponce, Hello to all
  19. Oct 29th for me with Dr. Ponce
  20. So glad your surgery went well, I only hope mine does just as well. Congratulations on your victory!
