  1. Hey' date=' sorry for any offense I may have made. Yes, I am new to the site and I am looking for information to make my decision, this just happended to be the first post I came to.

I really wanted information about the people who did this to this lady and nothing was ever told to the thousands of people on this site. I would have posted something for all to know. It just seemed odd to me that it is know where in the postings of who the surgeon is. It just seems like alot of writing for someone who is so sick. I know I could not do it, could you? I was making an observation/comment. And hoping it was not someone to try and scare all of us. NY1966[/quote']

I am not saying the thread is not true. i have, though, over the last 20 years on the internet' starting on aol 256(...anyone remember that??) to this chat board and face book , found many incredible stories that turned out to be just that, not real. Be it looking some sort of munchausen sympathy seeker, or someone who gets jollies out of scaring people, it happens. Take it as you wish, it's your own opinion or gut feeling.

  2. I have such sympathy for the posters who have had such complications. But nyorker' date=' please be aware that the rate of complications is actually very small. Many of us have had NO complications. No leaks, no blood clots, no pain. I've never even had any nausea or vomiting. If I didn't have 5 little scars on my tummy and the inability to eat very much, I might think the surgery never happened. I'm 3 months post op, down 47 lbs. and feel fabulous!![/quote']

Same here. No complications or pain. Occasional discomfort when I over eat...that's it. Down 90 pounds since Oct 3 2012. Scars hardly visible and fading

  3. I find it amusing every hospital seems to be touted as the best in the state. All I can say is I had it at Norwalk Hospital with Dr. Craig Floch. My hospital stay was amazing. The staff was attentive and sympathetic. i had a private room and anything I needed. i was there for 3 days. dr Floch and the PA were there for me when I needed them. i have since lost 90 pounds since Oct 3 and never felt better. This is me, last Saturday, on a trip to Cuba, to see my son Graduate from the international film school there

  6. I am in a night splint. I signed up for my 1st 5k so I need it cured so I can continue working towards my goal. You are the 1st person that said they cured it by walking that is great to hear! I still work out regularly but my long Sunday walks are out right now just too painful.

Plantar fasciitis is on big reason I had the sleeve. I was in crippling pain, close to needing a cane to ambulate. I lost 85 pounds and now am pretty much pain free. Stretch, stretch and ice. Feel better.

  7. My NUT told me pre op, 6 months go to give up diet pepsi forever. No nutritional value. I drank at least 6 a day pre op. have not touched a soda for 7 months. Diet soda is known to trick your body to hold on o fat and makes weight loss slower. I don't know if there is any truth to carbonation stretching your sleeve, but why chance it. Besides, a diet pepsi addict in recovery such as myself cant have just one.

  8. I'm so glad I found this post!! I am 27 and thought I was the only person! I told my sister and she looked like I had 10 heads! I am so embarrassed about it! I am down from 240 to 163. I am only 5'1" so I want to lose like 35 more lbs and I'm hoping it does away! I have been single for going on 10 years and that's when I got so fat. I'm terrified of intimacy because I'm afraid a guy is going to be like wtf! Honestly I feel better just knowing I'm not the only one out there thinking this way. I'm just upset because I've been told its next to impossible to find a plastic surgeon to do a Tummy Tuck before you have had kids unless the skin folds which mine is so tiny I can't see them doing it.

I had a TT after kids at 49 but then gained 100 pounds. I have lost 80 and my belly is flat as a board. If you care for your belly with cocoa butter and Vitamin e you hould be fine

  9. Yes, it does get smaller. I have lost 80 pounds and it's noticeable. AND depending on your age and weight lost, the outer parts below that also shrink and shrivel so if you like to wax the kitty, don't be surprised if it looks like this

  10. Oct 3 i had my life changing surgery. I have lost 81 pounds in eight months. I am down to 161 at 5ft 8 in. Just one or 2 pounds from goal. I work out regarly and though I have cellulite, not too much flabby skin. I have lost a lot of hair, so I cut it and try to keep my Protein up. I guess my biggest fear is that the weight will keep falling off. That would upset my hubby since he loved me thick. And my padunkadunk is nothing more than a pud now. I have no recent pics but will try to get some. I am 10 pounds thinner than the last ones I posted.

  11. We have a GNC that's the only health- Vitamin shop we have I will try to go there tomorrow and ask for Protein shakes maybe they have it .i don't think I can order any food online I don't think they will deliver it to the Middle East

GNC is perfect. They have a wide variety of shakes. Try to buy ready to drink of a very small jar of powder as some of them are truly gross tasting
