I just paid for my surgery. I guess this is it for me. I am locked and loaded. Just waiting for March 10th and good bye evil stomach of doom...lol, But seriously, I am elated! I spent a pretty penny on this and its well worth it for my long term life. I just started my pre op diet today and I am doing pretty good. We will see how I feel tomorrow. This is me singing "Shakes glorious shakes, Choclate,vanilla,strawberry"! I know, Im crazy but Im so excited I could click my heels together if I were 100lbs lighter. Love you guys.

I am sorry you are having to deal with this. I know that it must be heartbreaking. Please stay strong in your decision. He is not looking at this properly and it makes me very sad for you. I am lucky to have supportive people in my life that want me to be healthy and happy. He sounds terribly insecure and that makes me very sad as well because his unsupport of this is only going to push you further away from him. If he thinks you are going to leave him after you have lost the weight he is 100% right because you will no longer accept less. Keep your head held high and just stay stong. If he loses you it will only because of his own issues with weight. i would also like to add somthing to this. Who is he to judge you? The last time I checked there is only one true judge and he is certainly no shining example of a loving and sensitive caring man. I hope he sees you for the beautiful wonderful woman you are and if he doesnt then he has missed out on the best gift God has or will ever have given him.

I have PCOS and know from all the research I have done that you have noting to worry about at all. You will get pregnant and i mean fast. Your hormones will regulate and you will have a regular cycle. My sister in law has PCOS and she is thin as a rail and had 2 kids no problem. Do not worry about this. You will be blessed soon enough and this fear will dissolve. I will keep you in my prayers. Right now just focus on your health and everything else will iron itself out.

Remember too that your hormones are going nuts right now cause of the weight loss. You are getting the double whammy because you are hungry and hormonal. You are normal. When angry just keep in mind that this is your body being angry with your husband and not you. Your body is mad at you right now. I havent had the surgery yet but I am sure i am going to be like a wild anilmal for a while. I anticipate it...lol. hang in there.

His insecurities are louding his judgement. Simply say to him " When you are ready to express your insecurities in a healthy and mature fashion then i will be will to sit and listen". he is having a tantrum and you are not his mother, You are his wife and his job as your husband is to protect you and comfort you. Say this "As my husband, I know that you want to protect me and be my support from the evils and pains of this world but did you ever consider that the person that hurts me the most is in fact the person that wants to protect me the most" That should make him think before he puts his foot in his mouth again. if that doesnt work then you just explain to him that the decision has been made and if he wants to play the role of the unsupportive husband then you will find a group in your area that will be your security. Im here for you.

I would have done it in my early 20s but I think its possible that my age now is just right when i really think about it cause I am a little older and a little wiser so I have a better understanding of what it takes to be the best me that I can be. I like who i am mentally and spiritually now and the only thing left for me to do is change myself phsically.

@marissa75 I would like to add that vitamin water zero is something I have stashed away as well. Like I said...Variety is key for me.

@ I have Synthex-6 vanilla ice cream and also bought almond and cashew milk. i also have chocolate Premier Protein. I have also bought the unjury chicken Soup. I have tried unjury chocolate and I like that as well. I also would recommend Chike. it is so good. Make sure you buy some PB2 powder to doll up your vanilla and you can also but the SF Torini. I have even covered the basis of Water. I have lemon flavored torini SF to mix in my water. I love variety so as not to get bored quickly. i start my 2 week diet tomorrow, Today is food funeral.

Mine is March 10th. I am super excited! I have all the things I need. I have picked out the shakes I like, The only thing left to do is clean the house top to bottom and make my room relaxing since I will be recouperating for 2 weeks in it. I plan on getting some new candles to burn and just loving myself while I am healing. What a vacation...lol. Ill make the best of it.

I heard that the actual Anesthesia is what causes the hair loss. I am not an expert but wanted to know if anyone else had heard of this or experianced this first hand.

Mine was super easy. Went to first appointment in january. Did my psych,ekg,blood work in one week and my surgery appointment is March 10th.

Chocolate premier protein is very good and i also love Chike coffee and very vanilla (note)- When i mix the very vanilla I also mix a serving of PB2 and it is so yummy. try it, I swear you will love it.

I would advise you to just put in the time, You are not at all obligated to tell anyone why you are needing time off especially when it comes to medical, there are laws to protect you from that kind of harrassment. Just tell them you need to be out for medical reasons and leave it at that. If they push you for more information tell them you do not feel comfortable disscussing it. let them gossip all they want. Good lick and you are in my thoughts.

@ Im sorry to hear about your friend. She must be going through a bit of sadness and envy. I know that many lap banders have gone to revision for sleeve because they did not have as much luck. i was interested in the lap band for a long time and decided that the sleeve made more sense for me. I am sure over time she will come around and just understand that she is fighting with her own insecurities and sometimes in life we put our insecurities above other people accomplishments. it is sad but true and completely normal. Just let her know you are there for her when she is ready and that she is very important to you and your life. Dont give up on her. She may need you more than you need her right now.
