  1. Sorry to bother again! Did Dr. A prescribe something for the gall bladder? I've heard some people develop stones due to the drastic weight loss and many doctors prescribe something preventative.
  2. Sorry you are still feeling crappy. I wish I has some good advice for you. Hopefully the suggestions others provided will be helpful. Did Dr. A tell you to take a PPI? I haven't bought one and am not sure if I should bring some with me. I hope you feel better really soon!!! Hugs!
  3. I was just thinking about those that went today. Hope they are too busy walking the halls to post. Good luck to everyone tomorrow!!
  4. Any other August 18th sleevers!
  5. Thanks for sharing these stories. I find them inspiring. I am hoping for the best, prepared for the worst physically but am a little worried about the emotional stuff. I did three rounds of hcg last year and early this year (gained it back...I'm sure you were curious) and the 500 calorie diet of lean meat and veggies pushed me into an emotional mess. I slept a lot because I was always hungry and travel for work was a nightmare (taking clients to dinner and ordering fish and steamed veggies; eating 1/3 and still being starving or being in the airport and smelling all of the crappy/amazing food - hell in earth). I hope that my sleev experience is different. I cannot fail again. Any perspective on the emotional aspect and what you did to help would be appreciated.
  6. I don't have kids of my own and am still pre-op, so I probably shouldn't interject but I really hope you proceed with your journey. You have waited two years and now it is just around the corner. Don't let their fear, selfishness or entitlement detract you from making this amazing change in your health. My twin sister had this surgery about a year ago and it has completely changed her life. She is happy again, able to have relationships with people again and feeling so much more confident. When she first started talking about the surgery, I wasn't as supportive as I now wish I would have been. I was being selfish because she was going to change...I was going to be the fat twin. food, which has always been the center of our life together, wasn't going to be anymore. I got over it and realized how brave she was to do this for herself regardless of my ignorance. I am excited to start the journey for myself now. If you think that you are postponing because of your family is really an excuse to postpone because of your own fears, then that's another story. I tend to project so have been guilty of this in the past on other issues. I wish you peace and luck on your journey, whatever you decide.
  7. I am having surgery in the 18th and weigh 225ish. Inbox me if you want to be sleeve buddies.
  8. I'm preop still but am having surgery on the 18th. I fly back on the 21st and will return to work on the 22nd. I am hoping to work from home the rest of that week. The following week I'll be traveling. I am planning on just sucking it up, taking extra time, if needed and sleeping whenever I am not working. I was hoping to take more time but I just started this job in April and already had to take a week off in June for my MBA residency and graduation. I am also not telling people what kind of surgery I am having since I don't know them very well. Best of luk to you!!
  9. Best of luck!!! Excited for you guys and to hear about your progress!!
