  1. Thanks all. The size of my liver and fat around the other organs was my main reason for the post. I really don't want any complications during or post-op.
  2. My surgery date is July 30th. I started my all liquid pre-op diet 9 days ago. The diet consists of 4-5 bariatric advantage shakes, sugar free jello, and sugar free Popsicles. I can also have broth. I need to stay within 700-900 calories a day. I had 2 days of the 9 when I went slightly over the 900 max because I ate a few more popsicles then I should have. I have ONLY lost 5 lbs. I have my last pre-op appointment with my surgeon tomorrow. I am afraid he is going to think I totally cheated, even though I haven't. I am also nervouse that the sleeve will harbor no success as well. Help....did anyone else have issues losing weight on the pre-op diet?
  3. My surgeon said it is important to refrain from caffeine during the healing stage, but it's ok to have again about 2 months after surgery.
  4. Corey "Big Hoss" Harrison of "pawn stars" had wls
  5. I did an Internet search several months ago. I found all of those listed above, however I didn't see a celeb that underwent the sleeve. I too would love to know who has gotten this surgery in the world of Hollywood. I have an obsession with celebrity fit club etc. lol
  6. My surgeon required a pulmonology clearence, blood work, upper gi, chest X-ray, sleep study, and EKG. I noticed many of you needed an endoscopy, and a stress test in addition to these. I had a endoscopy in January 2012... Could this be why they didn't need another?
  7. We will definitely need to keep each other posted... I just found out I have to be at the hospital at 5:30am. The hospital is an hour away. This means I have to be up at 3:30 ouch!
  8. Are we able to shower the day of surgery or day after? OMG I didn't even think about possibly not being able to shower.
  9. I just watched a video of the sleeve being done. Why did I do that?I'm freaking myself out. They showed a video at my seminar 2 months ago, however it seemed more freeky from my living room. I could see the heart beating and I just kept thinking... What if they nick the heart on mistake while putting in the sutures? Ahhhh I totally regret watching it. Advice....If you haven't already don't watch a live surgery video.
  10. I was told I could add Protein Bars to the blender, so I would imagine peanut butter is ok.
  11. 15days prior to surgery. Liquid only ugghhh
  12. Go to the actual website via safari on your iPad and bypass the app.
  13. Thank you both so much... I'm glad it's not just me. It is comforting to know that this should pass in a couple of days.
  14. Started my 2 week liquid pre-op diet yesterday, and have a pounding migraine. I have tried other liquid diets in the past i. e slim fast, optisource, optifast, and experienced the same effect, hence the failure on these diets. Any suggestions?? How can I get rid of these headaches? I am freaking out I have 15 more days to suffer through this. I was told I can't use any asperine products 10 days prior to surgery. Ugghhh what do I do?
  15. I hear ya I'm scared too.. We'll have to keep each other posted on progress. Good Luck
  16. I am so totally ready for this. I feel like I have researched this until I was blue in the face. I am confident this is the right step for me.... I am trapped in a fat person's body. I haven't felt like my self for five years. I want to dance, and karaoke again :-)
