My pulmonologist prescribed lovenox injections 1x day for 10 days after surgery for blood clots. I am not afraid to administer an injection as I used to be a nurse, however I'm not sure I've seen this as a discussion. What other post-op meds can I expect?

Hi all.. I'm getting my surgery done by Dr.Rantis out of Alexian Brothers on July 30th. When you say single incision, is it still done laparoscopically?

I hear many success stories after being sleeved (the reason I'm taking this step) I'm just wondering if anyone gained back the weight. I have yo-you'd my whole life. I am sick of it. I really hope no one responds that they have gained weight back :-(

Hi all, I'm located in Waukegan, on the border of Wisconsin but still considered a Chicago suburb. I grew up near O'Hare Airport, and I will be having my surgery at Alexian Brothers in Elk Grove Village on Monday July 30th. It is nice to meet ya all. Please feel free to send a friend request. I am trying to build a support group through this process. I am nearing my surgery date. I am excited, and scared as hell.

Another girl had this happen recently and posted about it. Her surgery was rescheduled for the 30th as well. My surgery is the 30th also. Is this common? Has anyone else had this happen? Hearing these stories are freaking me out..Good luck on the 30th I hope you feel better.

Hi cowgirl mom, I'm on day #12 of pre-op diet and I had a huge headache for the first 3 days. I was told the headache is caused from your body detoxing from, sugar, caffein, and carbs. Hang in there, as the headache should pass. Good luck all.

Oh I am so sorry to hear that. Hopefully the 30th is a luckier day. My surgery is the 30th as well. Keeping fingers crossed all goes well for both of us. KIT

I saw my PCP today. She signed off on the EKG. I guess it wasn't anything to be worried about. My surgery is still a go for this Monday.... I can't wait

Am looking for a good unflavored protein supplement. I tried Bariatric Advantage and it still has a sicken sweet taste. I was wondering what you all thought of Unjury.

I just bought the ninja. It got great reviews, and the cost is reasonable.

I had my pre-op testing last week and was told today that my EKG came back borderline/low voltage. I was advised that my PCP will need to clear me. I now need to go visit my PCP for a complete physical before she will clear me. My surgery is scheduled July 30th, that's 6 days from now. Has anyone else run into this?
