    70 Pounds Gone For Good

Fantastic! I bet that is an amazing feeling - I personally can't wait to be on the loser's bench (as I am still pre-op) What does a typical day (food-wise) look like for you now that you are 4 months out?

    Right Side Pain

I second that - go to the ER - right away - do not pass go, do not collect your $200, just go - that is NOTHING to fool around with.

    My Food Funeral.

I hear ya - I know exactly how you feel! I am sure I will do the same thing. Some may say that is not necessarily the best thing to do but I personally say go for it - get it out of your system and on with a new life! Good Luck to you.

    Right Side Pain

When you press down does it hurt more pressing in or on the release? Reason I ask is that the pressing down doesn't hurt as much as the release if it is an appendicitis. Does it hurt to jump up and down? Another tell-tale sign of an appendicitis. I would say go to the ER and get checked out if you can't get through to your surgeon's office. I know it is awful when stuff like this happens on a weekend. Good Luck and keep us posted.
  5. Rant away - I know all about that. I have personally never had anything said to me, but I was on a flight with someone who got moved out of the exit row b/c she had a seat belt extender and they don't allow you to sit in the exit row with one out of fear someone would get tangled up trying to get out of the plane. Some people have unbelievable nerve! I too am looking to get sleeved right around mid September too, probably the 19th actually. Here's to a new beginning...
  6. I would not use peroxide. Joy4theJourney is correct, it is very hard on delicate new tissue. Call your surgeon's office to get their advice.

    Before And After Pics

A few last questions: 1) How do you feel? 2) What has your experience been with the VSG? 3) Anything you would change? 4) What don't you miss?

You look GREAT! I know that feeling. I am heavy in all my wedding photos - makes me want to renew my vows after I get sleeved just to get new skinny me photos! Don't want to sound cheesy, but I am so very proud of you! Onward and upward--

    Almond Joy Treat!

I bet it would make an awesome popsicle too if you own popsicle molds (of course, I do...I have a 4 year old!)
  14. Taco Bell - Pintos and cheese Burger King - Veggie Burger -- no bun Any place, salad... Those are off the top of my head...
  15. How do you know you are in ketosis? What are the signs, symptoms? Is there a test for that?
  16. I would explain to your husband that "shopping around" is not really what you want to do. If you are happy with the surgeon and team you have chosen, you should go with them. Shopping around may result in paying less but getting a surgeon you are not as happy with or doesn't have as great credentials. Always remember, you get what you paid for! I personally wouldn't risk it with this type of procedure. Just my 2 cents...
  17. You look great! What an amazing transformation. I am sure you are feeling awesome. Keep up the great work and continue to share the pics with us.

    September 18

Good Luck! I am shooting for September 19th myself....hoping for speedy insurance approval - should know sometime in the next couple weeks.
  19. Did anyone use an abdominal binder post-op? If so, what brands do you recommend?
  20. Congrats on your upcoming wedding and surgery! Both exciting times. Might a recommend an A-line dress - they are very foregiving in the right areas - arms, bust all that can be tailored in....

    Abdominal Binder

Do you know the name of it by chance, Amy?
  22. I won't miss the fact that when I go to the Day Spa with my girlfriends and they give me one of those skimpy white robes that never closes b/c they are all made for skinny folks. I usually end up just staying in my comfy clothes and sure as the sun will rise one of my friend's says "why are you not wearing the robe they gave you?" I want to say "for Christ's sake, have you spent the last 10 years buried in a hole in the yard? I am obese and can't fit into one." I look forward to the day I can walk out of the dressing room at the Spa sporting my very own white robe for skinny b**ches! What is it you won't miss????
  23. How long did it take once your insurance approved you for you to have surgery? What is the typical wait time to get on the surgeon's schedule? I know if varies from surgeon to surgeon; just curious...
  24. I had my psych eval scheduled for September 10th; however, the doctor's office called today and asked if they could get me in 3 weeks earlier - don't mind if I do!!!! Funny how things work out and start to fall together quickly. Here's hoping they can get me approved through insurance and on the surgery docket by the end of September - woot woot!
