  1. I hope this is a good shake for the pre and post op. it tastes pretty good
  2. Went to GNC today and bought a box of Protein shakes. They taste great! All day today I had the following: 1 shake for Breakfast (whey body fortress chocolate) 1 shake for lunch (GNC. total lean) Five crackers for snack and an orange ( more head hunger than anything) Small salad with a piece of baked chicken (leg) that I broke off in the salad. Pretty good day! I can do this! Ooh and LOTS of water! I guess that was the filler for the day!
  3. I actually have read your blog and I can say that you definitely gave me inspiration and encouragement. Feb seemed like years away and now I can hardly believe its right around the corner. I really am just in a state of awe right now. This doesn't feel real, I feel like it may not work on me, then I see others photos and think man this really works. I worry about missing my flight, losing my bags on the way there, passing out! All sorts of crazy stuff run through my mind. I say this stuff just lightly though because I know that these steps I'm taking are ordered by God. I do feel as though he's making this happen for me. A month ago I was still on the fence about doing it in Feb. My dear husband said baby don't worry it's going to happen no matter what. For some reason his words gave me comfort and peace. He's such a skeptic and for him to fully embrace my decision without the usual negativity (such as what my mom and brothers offered) meant so much to me. I'm truly blessed to be able to do this and make a life changing move. Without God none of this would be possible. I'm nervous but committed to making this life change. I could so relate to traveling with mounds of clothes because you just didn't know if you were going to look right in these jeans or that shirt and to now be able to travel lightly and wear clothes with ease is mind boggling to me. I can't yet wrap my mind around all the possibilities. For me everything is falling into place.
  4. Praying for healing and a speedy recovery for you. I'm so glad you caught it early on. I will keep you in prayer.
  5. Keeping you both in prayer. God bless
  6. This will be one time when I can't wait to be naked with my clothes falling off!! I just might let it all hang out, maybe wear banana leaves, lol
  7. Welcome to you both. You will find a lot of answers to mostly all of your questions on VST. I too am from Louisiana and I am pre op as well. The members on this site have been so supportive and informative. I am scheduled for VSG on Feb 26 in Tj Mx, as WLS is an exclusion on my BCBS of Louisiana policy. I am also a maid and a cook to four children.....wait, make that five with my husband lol!
  8. Wow, you look awesome! I can't even imagine losing that much weight in 3 months! I am so looking forward to this sleeve. I can hardly wait!
  9. Relax and rest up. Congrats on a successful surgery. I pray your recovery continues to go smoothly.
  10. I know my friend keeps pressing me to leave the hubby at home. She says you will be taken care of and you can save the money. We will play it to by ear and see how he ends up with work
  11. I know they say after surgery is where the hard part begins, but she's to the finish line of making it to the losers bench. You're right though. She is just to the starting gate.
  12. Ok so you're going to do the surgery the day you arrive?
  13. I saw the video but I couldn't look at the pics from my IPhone. I got a message saying the owner did not allow for mobile viewing.....or something along those lines. Congrats on the weight loss, you do look great and I loved the poncho.
  14. Looks as if my husband will be able to go with me after all!! I'm so excited. We're waiting to see if he will be able to get off!. I'm ok if I must go alone but I will feel much more comfortable if he's there.
  15. I will be in your shoes in a four weeks! I pray all goes smoothly. It's great you're the only surgery, you'll get all the attention . I'm trying to prepare mentally and physically. Continue to keep us posted as much as you can. But also rest and recover once your procedure is done. We are all praying for you.
  16. Best of luck to you. I will be keeping you in prayer. You're almost at the finish line.
  17. I have looked at the flights however I have not booked one yet. I was truly waiting to see if my husband was going to be able to get off from work to be able to accompany me. I may have to just check to see the price of the flights out of Lafayette. I can hardly believe the time is coming so close! You have lost tons of weight! Good for you. How have you been feeling. How is your restriction this far out? What info do I need to know going into this? Any tips
