    Sleeve Vs Bypass

Do any of you longterm sleevers ever wish you had the bypass instead of the sleeve? And if you do for what reasons? I have researched both and know the pros and cons for both. I have always felt confident that the sleeve is for me however every once in a while I think with the bypass I would lose faster or more importantly lose more of my excess weight. Faster is not the end all be all to be but the thought a better percentage of weight loss sticks in my mind. I still feel the sleeve is for me but wanted to hear everyone's thoughts.

    9 weeks pics

Surgery was Nov 20th. I'm down 43.6 lbs. 7 lbs of that was preop. I'm happy with my progress. I feel so much better in my clothes already. If dropped from a 22 to 16. I still have a long way to go and a lot of times I struggle with myself seeing just how much I still want to lose. But I'm getting there. Left is day if surgery. Right is yesterday. Hi everyone! Im glad to hear everyone's loving their sleeve! I am sooo hapoy with mine also. I originally wrote this post just before my surgery. I am 2 months post op today and down 40lbs! I have very happy I did it and hoping the scale is going to keep on trucking!

  6. I guess im really just venting because I know or at least I hope the scale will eventually move....but I havent lost anything in 9 days. I was 7 weeks post op on tues and Ive lost 36 lbs. 7 preop. Im not doing anything different than I have been. Only eating between 600-800 calories a day. It just seems so early on for such a long stall. Im trying not to dwell on it because I know it unfortunately isnt going to happen overnight. But just a little down about it....
  7. READY TO LOSE IT

4 days out and having second thoughts

I felt exactly like you the first week. I was miserable and full of regret. It definitely gets better. The first week is really hard. You hurt, you are hungry, and its hard to comprehend how sleeved life will be. But after you can start on full liquid and soft foods it all gets better. Just give yourself some time to adjust and recover. Once you feel better and start losing it will be all uphill. Good luck! And feel free to contact me at anytime if I can help.
  8. Sleeved 11/20th. Down 36lbs. Currently in a 7 day stall and frustrated! Why is it every time I don't lose for a few days it makes me think I wont lose anymore. I need to be more positive and exercise! Congrats to everyone in their loses!

    2 Month Surgiversary - Down 58 lbs!

U look wonderful! ! Congratulations! ! Did u lose it all postop? Just wondering cause I will be 6 weeks Tuesday and I wanted to see if I am on the same track with my weight loss. Im down 32lbs , 7 was preop.
  14. So I'm feeling good. Back to normal. No problems eating, and I've lost 23 lbs. 7 pre and 16 post. BUT....I can't help but wishing I was losing faster. I'm know we aren't suposed to compare ourselves to others but it seems like all the other November sleevers are losing so much faster than me. And although I know its a marathon not a sprint and an average of 4 lbs a week is good I can't help but be frustrated.

  18. I am so addicted to these! She has a bunch of different kinds. My favorite so far the French dip ones, but once you get the recipe you can substitute anything you want! I made turkey bacon ranch ones tonight!! I've made a bunch if different kinds and frozen them in single servings and the best part is one and I am stuffed!
  19. I am pretty much on to regular foods. I really dont have a problem eating anything. I need to get more fluids in and sometimes I struggle to get all my protein in because I can't always eat and drink at work the way I need to. I needs to exercise I know that will get the scale moving.

    Recovery time

I am a nurse also. I work in the OR which is very physical, but I was fine to go back in 2 weeks. I am still trying to work out all the eating and drinking I need to get it, but physically I was fine.
