Dr fielding consulted with governor christy in his home, however he had the surgery by dr fielding in a undisclosed hospital 2 months ago under another alias . However dr fielding is affiliated with NYU hospital in NYC. And her office is also at NYU.

He used dr fielding @ NYU the # 1 in the country for biariatric surgery

It has nothing to do with modifications ! The doctors can never get it right with the lapband , they either tighten it too much ,or it's too loose and you will never be at the right place . The lap band is horrible . No I never met dr. Castro . Currently I am dealing with Dr. Gellman and I'm am much happier , my surgery will be in north shore hospital. And I will be getting the sleeve. Perhaps you will have better results with dr. Castro I don't know him. However Merola is not someone I would recommend .

The only place I would do surgery is the USA ! I don't care how much it cost ,I want to be in my country not in a foreign country getting any type of surgery . We have the best doctors in the world ! God bless America

I wouldn't recommend Mexico ! I wouldn't let a doctor in a 3 world country touch me ! That's my opinion ! If anything goes wrong remember you are in Mexico not in the USA. In addition , I wouldn't even take a vacation to Mexico with all the crime in that country . However some people are just desperate for the surgery at a cheap price.

I understand , here in NY , what people do is they change insurance companies in order to do another WLS . I had my lapband removed because I was always vomiting . If your BMI is 36 it's a clear indication the band has not worked for you , therefore you should discuss with your doctor to have it removed , and perhaps doing a sleeve at the same time. I couldn't get the sleeve when I had my band removed because I had an emergency removal.

Why wouldn't they pay ? What's the problem ?

Hi I had lapband surgery with doctor Merola in 2007 , lapband was the worst thing I ever did itdid not work for me. After 5 years of complaining of severe abdominal pains I finially ended up in Ny hospital of queens ER on June 2012 and had the band removed 2 days later in an emergency situation. Dr. Merola did not address my situation in a timely manner I was suffering for 5 years of pain. His staff is very disorganized , and you will always be sitting in the office for hours to be seen for a follow up. Do yourself a favor and find another doctor. My daughter just got sleeved with doctor Larry gellman, in great neck , they are great in that office. Good luck
