  1. As we say here is the South, Bless your heart. I hate that you are still feeling so bad. Ask your doctor if you can have sherbert or frozen yogurt, it was on my liquid diet. Maybe it will help. I would say drink some giner ale but the carbonation would not be good. Ginger is suppose to help relieve nausea so maybe there is something else.

Hope you feel better very soon!

  2. My doctor's assistant told me a story about a man who has the band but drank milk shakes everyday then complained because he was not losing. Now I don't really think this was the dr office fault because they have told me time and time again it's not a magic bullet it's a tool to help you. You have to put the work in. I'm learning this as I go but once you get in that mind set it will work. Just don't do what that man did!

  3. I had mine 7/26 lost 9 lbs during the pre diet and only have lost 4 more so I think it's about normal. I can also eat just about anything but my doctor did not put resistance in the band and will not until hopefully the 20th. I get very hungry but am really being what I consider very good. It's hard because other than walking I have not been released to exercise. Don't get to frustrated from what I've read this seems to be normal. Hang in there. I went to the dr. on the 6th to have my staples removed and he seemed happy with my progress so that was something to make me feel better!

  4. Over my belly button a little to the right. I'm very short so it's really under my breast bone too. Not much room there lol. Jr I just now got to where I could find it, my stomach has been so swollen I looked pregnant for a while, still some swelling but most of it's gone. Other than having an allergic reactiion to the bandages and being broke out & itchy I feel pretty good.

  5. Tomorrow it will be 2 weeks since my surgery, I have lost 13 pounds so far since the pre diet most of which I lost during that time. Have no resistance in band yet, my dr waits at least 3 weeks to a month post surgery. My question is I can see the port and feel it under my skin especially when I'm laying down, is this the norm?

  6. Went to the dr. today and got the staples removed, so glad they are out! Still no fill my dr wants to wait two weeks but I did lose 2 more pounds, not alot but right now doing it without a fill is hard and I'm pretty proud of myself. It's been a very hard week for my family, my son in law is having some major health problems and it's turned life upside down but we are getting through it all together. Talk about together my other daughter has been home for over a week now then my sil, daughter and granddaughter have been here almost non stop, gosh I'm beat!!! Tomorrow back to work, hopefully I will do better there than I did last week! How is everyone else doing??? Down 12 pounds (would like more but take it and be happy) and on my way to a new me.

  7. That's great that you are doing so well!! I was banded on the 26th, it's weird but I had more back pain than anything now I just have soreness around the incisions and am allergic to the bandage tape so that's a problem but all in all I would say compaired to living life overweight from now on this is worth it!!! Hope everyone continues to do well!!

  8. Yep he said the first few days I should do soft but after could have whatever I felt comfortable with. I had grilled fish Mon night, 1st real food in two weeks and it was amazing. I did fine no problem at all. I think the hardest thing for me as far as eat/drink my doctor really does not want me to use low cal sweetners like sweet & low, spenda etc. I use crystal light a lot and was addicted to diet dr. pepper which of course is a no no so now I'm trying to find something to drink in my Water so far it looks like it's going to be lime, but I do miss the sweet.

  9. Well it's been 4 days since my surgery. I can eat pretty much anything because I have just the band no "fill" yet. My doctor has not put me on any restrictions but I have done that myself. The 1st few days I just didn't want to eat but now feel like I could eat the house! Having to take control of myself. Most of the soreness is gone but I itch terribly plus every bandage I have tried seems to break me out making it worse :(. I went on a short shopping trip with my girls today and did really well, I still have some major blooting so finding something to wear loose and comfortable is a challenge. My daughter told me I needed a better bra then she realized I was wearing one that is really to big just because all the others are very uncomfortable.

Hope you all are doing well!!

  10. Thanks tonight has been better than the day was I'm trying to walk around more this does seem to help a lot. I am very bloated in my middle section and got on the scale today and was 3 pds up from before surgery but I'm sure that's just from the Fluid and all not like I've been eating much. Right this second I have on a bra because my son in law is here but it's killing me so it's going to have to go :0!

  11. I had mine on Thur. I am pretty sore esp in my back. I just can't get comfortable, I'm at a point when I want to be able to do more and just don't seem to. I also have more soreness in my incisions than before. Any suggestions on what I can do to help with this. I also wanted to know if anyone else felt nauseated it seems to come and go.

  12. Funny you asked I would give my arm for a margarita and I'm really not a big drinker but I do like one occasionally. My surgery is tomorrow so I'm still post op but you better believe when my doc gives the all clear I will have one. I plan to try the skinny girl tequila, I hear it's pretty good and it help help with some of those empty calories.

  13. I am a little envious of some of the pre diets I've read because mine is strickly liquids. The only "food" I can have is grits with spenda, low fat sugar free pudding or Jello. Diet fruit juice, veg juice, sugar free low fat sherbert which I can not take to work because our freezer does not work. It's been very hard but I'm on day 3 and I'm doing it! I just keep my mind on the goal and when I get hungry I find something to do. I've never liked grits but right now I'm loving them!

I had the same thought about if I can do this why am I having surgery but I know I would not stick to this like I am without knowing if I don't it will not happen.
