  1. Yesterday started my pre op liquid protein diet. I feel like crap, but know i= n a few days it will be better. I'm excited to actually be able to maintain r= esults from eating a healthy diet. I know I'll be fine and intellectually I k= now I have made the right choice for me. I am more frightened about any chan= ce, even a miniscule one, of leaving my babies without me. I don't know if i= t's irrational to be so afraid, but that's how I'm feeling. Best of luck to a= ll of you. Here's to a healthy fresh start!
  2. I have elected to have the sleeve (july 9th) because the stomach and intestines remain fully functional, the stomach is just smaller. The RNY is designed to bypass the small intestines where the nutrients are absorbed, thus the nutritional deficiencies. Although it is apparently not the most difficult surgery to perform, I would suggest seeking out a doctor who has had more experience with the sleeve. It is likely he is pushing the RNY because thats what he knows best. Good luck in your decision, whatever it may be.
  3. and just like that... I am NOT alone. Thank you!
