MKambalimath got a reaction from senickisncis in How It Went, For Me!
I read some of your before posts with all the problems with insurance you were having, so I'm happy to see you were able to get your surgery and that youre doing well. Good luck to you:)

MKambalimath got a reaction from LauraTarry in Sabotaging Myself
Honestly I knew it wasn't a cure all too, I was very smug that I knew all I needed to know about it, but its so different when you're actually living it, lol. I just hate feeling like I'm still on a diet You're right though. We do "GOT THIS"! I think its just a matter of taking it a day at a time and a small goal at a time. Sometimes when I read the boards, I feel like I really am the only one still having trouble staying away from "bad" foods. Everyone seems so positive, like they are really loving just eating protein and protein shakes. Sometimes I feel bad about myself because I still want cookies! I know I'm fairly new at this, 2 months out, 35lbs lost, and I just need to get in the groove of making healthy choices. Thanks for the support, I really appreciate it. Today's a better day than yesterday and hopefully tomorrow will be even better

MKambalimath got a reaction from desertmom in Stall
Where are you going that its only 50 degrees? I want to come, lol. I stalled for 4 weeks and now even though I'm losing a little, its VERY slow. This is not what I expected with the WLS BUT, at least I am losing, whereas I probably would have gained 5-10 lbs before surgery

Hi Leaha
I'm 6 1/2 weeks out. I think everyone's different, but at 2 weeks out I was still taking it easy. I don't think you should walk more than a mile a day for sure. There's plenty of time for that later, right now you just want to take care of yourself and heal. It hurt me to bend over until probably 4 weeks out, but now I can do anything and I feel fine. I still get tired easily because I'm not getting all the nutrition in I'm supposed to. But I go to the gym at least 3 times a week and walk and bike for 60+ mins. One thing to make sure you do is try not to lift over 10lbs until your Dr clears you. I know its hard, I have a 3 yr old, but I messed myself up pretty bad from lifting him, and my Dr said I was risking having issues with my incisions if I kept doing it. Luckily I was able to go to my parents out of state and they did all the heavy lifting for me with my son. Not everyones that lucky, but just try your best
