  1. I have had this horrible pain in my gut that feels like I am being ripped open when I move into a certain position. I almost went to ER Thursday night but suffered through it until Friday. Dr did X-ray and said no rupture just constipated. The pain was worse thing I ever felt. At night when I would roll over I would scream out it hurt so bad. She suggested relief from bottom end instead of laxative. I did suppository and pain did not get better. Bought some tea called super dieters tea. It taste fine. It caused ,Movement this morning. Pain better but still there. Crazy stuff. It not to this. I would be Great!! Not able to walk because it makes pain worse. What to do???

  2. I had my surgery last Thursday. I had reaction to anesthesia which caused me to throw up 2 times. Dry heaves are awful. I only took pain med the one time after that. If not for that I am not sure I would have even been sore. Now, one of hardest things for you will be not lifting anything over 10 lbs. that is gallon of milk. I will just say the fact I did not have to prepare meals the last few days was a relief. You need to focus on yourself during this week so please get some help if you can. It is a major change for your body. I have been walking everyday and following drs orders. Good luck.

  3. I am on my journey to "Onederland". For those that do not know this is weighing in the one hundreds. I have made this journey several times and have been to this land before. Each time I arrive I swear I will never leave again. I have been there with the lap band, weight watchers and too many others to list. I love Onederland especially the further west I get. I can only remember being 26 miles west or 174. I plan to travel far west this time to 140. I am not going to swear the never leave Onederland again but feel I will be able to stay west with my new frame of mind. I will be 60 in December and I am 5'2". I have a great family and job. I must STOP letting food control my life and get healthy. I want to live to be a sassy old broad. Ha. My daughters are taking me to New York for my 60th birthday in December so my goal is to loose 60 lbs by then. I am down 17 this morning.

I expect to arrive in "Onederland " in the next few days. I will announce my arrival.

  4. I was just sleeved last Thursday. I am worry that I am drinking any water' date=' I have tried small sips, with ice, without ice, but still hurts going down. I just don't understand, on the other hand yogurt, blended Soups, and Popsicles go down with no problem. Any advise?

    Thank you

I was also sleeved last Thursday. The swallows hurt the first 36 hours but do not hurt anymore. I had indigestion so bad I could not breathe. That is better too. I am now drinking ice tea with no problem but just sips and letting it warm in my mouth before I swallow. I drank one cup of coffee this morning in small sips and it was wonderful. Hang in there it will get better.

  5. My husband and I have our sleeve surgeries scheduled on September 7 with Dr. Umbach with Blossom Bariatrics in Henderson' date=' NV. He does not have his sleevers stay overnight in a hospital, but in a hotel close by. Is this safe? Is anyone familiar with him?[/quote']

I just had my procedure last Thursday and I was so thankful to be in the hospital overnight because I had a reaction to the anesthesia and throwing up or I should say major dry heaves. They had to give me and injection to stop it. Ask your doctor what you do in case that happens. Also not sure what I would have done without my hubby after the surgery. Good luck with having them at the same time.

  6. I am so happy to find this group. On June 21 I had the 6 year band removed and was sleeved. My surgery was done by Dr Robert Sewell in Southlake, Texas and I can only say wonderful things about his staff and the hospital staff. I have read so many post of people with horror stories that I know I would have appreciated some guidance. I drove 3 hours for visits and procedure. It is Sunday morning and I am feeling very well. I did have throwing up from anesthesia and if it had not been for that, not sure I would ever needed pain meds.

I am excited to see what others are experiencing on my same time frame. I have been walking and sipping and trying to follow instructions. Thanks for sharing and I am looking forward to onederland which I should be at next week. I have lost 13 lbs so far. I sure hope I never see the 200 lbs again.
