  1. My Doctor says no fruit with seeds for the first six months. I haven't been banded yet, but have tried making a few smoothies with the recipes he gave me. I really liked the strawberry one. I guess I'll just have to wait til Christmas to enjoy strawberries again!! LOL
  2. I have ALWAYS wanted a tummy tuck, so that would be my first choice!! I have had 2 c-sections and a hysterectomy in which I have been cut up and down. I say I have a butt in the front and in the back!! YUCK!!! Maybe one day.......... :)
  3. Congrats on your surgery date!! I hope to have a July date too.
  4. I can view my profile but I can't seem to add a ticker. Every time I click on add a ticker, it says oops! there's a problem. Anyone else having this problem? Or am I doing something wrong?
  5. ok guys, I have a question. When I first started my journey with the weight loss center they told me my insurance said that I would have to have 6 months of visits with a dietician. I called my insurance and verified and they told me no. I called the pre-cert number on the back of my card and they also told me no. They said they could not find it anywhere in my policy that it said that and it must be something that my weight loss center required. When I told the weight loss center that I checked with my insurance they haven't brought up the visits again. They are going ahead and submitting my chart to insurance for approval. I have Medical Benefits Mutual (MedBen). Has anyone encountered this problem? Am I not going to get approval from insurance?? 6 months will put me into next year and I'll have to start all over again with the deductible !!!
  6. Hi everybody. I have been reading this forum for days and days so I thought I would finally write something. I am in the stages of getting a surgery date. I have to have an upper endoscopy on 6-3-2012. After that then they will submit everything to my insurance. Then I'll just have to wait for their approval. I was diagnosed as a pre-diabetic in May so I have cut out all caffeine, all soda's, and all sweets. I am happy to report that I have already lost 15 pounds!! I wasn't told to cut out all the caffeine just yet, but I thought that I may as well start early!! I'm excited to get my band and get to my weight loss goal. Thank you everyone for your post. I have enjoyed reading them and I've learned quite a few things that I think will help me!!
