Now I am having pains in my left shoulder and under my left rib cage. I am taking Gas X and walking. It's very frustrating and even hurts to take a deep breath!! I so want this gas pain to end!!!!!! 7 days is long enough!!!

I'm 6 days post-op and I'm still swollen. I gained several pounds from the iv fluids and gas so hopefully when the swelling goes down I'll see my pre-op weight again. In the mean time I'm eating small quantities and drinking, drinking, drinking! :-)

oh my!!!! I hope you recover fast!!!

I'm 4 days post-op and I'm having the same pain. It's not all the time. I hope it goes away soon for us all !!!

Just got home from the hospital. I had some complications and had to stay a night. :-(. My heart rate elevated just as I was waking up and then my blood pressure bottomed out and they had to keep waking me up to tell me to breath. I've never had a problem with anesthesia before. The Dr. said it was probably a fluke but if I ever notice my heart fluttering then u would need to see a cardiologists. I'm swollen and sore but feel fine otherwise. My Dr. said the surgery itself went great. I only had clear liquids today. I'm pretty sure I got more than 64 oz. in and I walked up and down the hallways at the hospital.

I have to report to the hospital at noon tomorrow. Surgery is scheduled for 2:30!!!! It's gonna be a lllloooooonnnnnggggg night coz I already know I'm not gonna sleep! I'm soooo excited! Prayers for all my fellow banders tomorrow. See you guys on the post op side! :-)

So my surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, right?! Well I have pulled a muscle in my neck/back. I did it in my sleep and it woke me up it hurt so bad. I have been in severe pain all day. I called my weight loss surgery nurse and she said it would be okay to take Tylenol. She said if I was in too much pain that they could postpone my surgery. I said NO WAY!!!!!!!! She just laughed and said she understood. I don't care if my husband has to carry me in there, I AM going to that hospital on Wednesday and I AM getting my band!!!!!!! So my new heating pad that I got for post op is getting broken in early!! :-) Good luck to my fellow Wednesday banders!! Here's hoping we have a fast and easy recovery!!!

Good luck to those getting banded today! I had my last surgeon visit today. Surgery is in 6 days!! I'm so excited.

My weight loss center says no caffeine and no carbonated beverages FOR LIFE!! I gave both up in May. So far so good!

When I saw my weight loss center nurse today she said that I should not let my dog get around me until my incisions heal. And definitely not to let him sleep in our bed. Has anyone else been told this? My dog has major anxiety issues and will only sleep curled up next to me. My poor baby!

I saw my dietician and weight loss center nurse today. One week until surgery and I'm starting to get nervous. I'm super excited though. I've lost 30 pounds since May and can't wait to lose more!!!! Good luck August Bander's!!

I meet with my dietician today and I asked about vitamins. She said that I should go ahead and start taking them.I told her my surgery was a week away and she said it wouldn't matter and to go ahead and start taking them. I thought I had to wait until after my surgery. I see my surgeon on Thursday so I may wait and ask him. I sure don't want to mess things up this close to my surgery day!!!

My husband is saying the same thing to me. I have lost 25 pounds since May. I have been trying to watch what I eat and have started exercising. I know I need the band to help me but he doesn't see it.

I saw my surgeon today for my follow up on my upper endoscopy. He asked how much longer I had on my monthly maintenance?? I said I don't have anything left, just waiting on a surgery date! So he went out to the clerk and said put her down for surgery!! I am soooooo excited!!! My surgery date is August 15th!!!

Well.......I got a precert #!!! I am soooo excited!!! My insurance company has issued a precert # for my surgery and said that is all I need. I am good to go!!! I see my surgeon tomorrow for my results from my upper endoscopy and I am going to ask for a surgery date! Hopefully I'll get my band within the next 2 weeks! I'm so ready!
