  1. Wow!!! You know where you've been and where you are going. AWSOME!!!!!
  2. The heating pad is what helped me also. And my dr told me that when I walk around the house, to try to stand up straight, and it did seem to help.
  3. No one is being rude to anyone on here. We simply share our stories, and try to help one another. I suggest if you are that unhappy maybe you should find another site. We are all family here and if you dont want to be part of it go somewhere else.
  4. My husband had that, and when it was time to take it out I was a nervous wreck. I began pulling on the tube, gently of course and told him to tell me to stop if it started to hurt. Well it did not hurt him at all, and you will not believe how long the tube is. He had a lot of drainage for several days after, but the Dr said it was ok. I would get someone else to to it for you, there is just something pyscological about doing it yourself. I personally would probly faint. lol. But either way there shouldnt be much discomfort at all.
  5. I have seen those genie bras, are they really as good as they re advertised???
  6. keep us up to date, It sounds kinda serious. Please heed the warning of the the dark vomit, go to the Dr. today!!!!. We really do worry about each other, so be sure to keep us updated..... Take care.
  7. ugg, I think I would take the anticoagulants.
  8. well I will have to check out. I could use some slimming smoothing and and whatever else they do. Are they comfy??
  9. Oh, Im sorry, maybe your surgeon will be able to shed some light on it. You really need to try to drink some water, and maybe you can slowly get a shake down. Water you most defintly need if you can.
  10. Maybe I dont get out enough, I keep hearing about spanx, What are they????
  11. Sex? People still have sex? LOL
  12. How about both, you can get lapband with plication, that is where they sew up your stomach, instead of cutting it. I have it and I really love it.
  13. Not to get personal but it could be trapped gas or constipation or something like that if you are pooping good and able to pass gas, I would definitely call your surgeon.
  14. too me they were just plain yucky. Y;all might like them though.
  15. I am going thru the same thing. For my dad it is just a matter of time. It is so hard to watch your big strong daddy sit in a wheelchair barely able to breath. its heart breaking. I feel ya girl, I dont know if it is possible to just "acceptd" it. I dont think I ever will.
  16. I am sorry, I miss understood. if you got it in Feb, than maybe it was the floresent dye that made it tender. If ice dont work, I would call the dr.
  17. In the first weeks after surgery, my port would feel good sometimes and then would hurt like hell sometimes, I am 3 months out and it still gets sore sometimes. Getting a fill after two weeks seems like it would still be in the tender stage. If there is no infections I would try an ice bag for a couple days and see if that helps.
  18. go back and get a little out, it wont take much, sounds like you got a little too much. It happened to me and he took a tiny bit out and it was perfect.

will someone please tell me about the 5 day pouch test??
  21. it goes by pretty fast. There are steps you have to take. With each step you will be that much closer. Good luck, you are going to love your new band, its worth waiting for!!!!
  22. No one really answered your question. I usually do my shakes in the morning. I am not sure if there is any special time you are to drink them. Just make sure to call your surgeon and find out how much protein he wants you to have a day. I usually had soup for lunch, and a greek yogurt for supper. Just something to think about.
  23. I also had my surgery on Aug 9. To this day I have lost about 30 lbs. It makes me feel better to see everyone say that is about right. Yay!!!!.
  24. I think 43lbs in 5 months is pretty good. I do know how you feel though. I have lost 30 in 3 months, and when you break it down, it averages 10 lbs a month which looks good on paper, but, you know what you have been doing, and realize it probably could have been more, so you look at it as not really that much. And starting thinking if I did this or that I would have lost more. When I spoke to my dr. they really don't want you to loose that fast, its not healthy, so as long as you are going down in weight you are being successful. Even when you are maintaining your are doing good, thats not so easy either.
