Hey guys! I haven't been around in a while so I just wanted to check in. I am now 5 months post op and am down 43 lbs. Im happy about that, but I dissapointed because I know that if I had made better food choices and have gone walking all the times I flaked out I could have been down so much more. But thats all water under the bridge now. My clothes are super baggy but I hate shopping so I'm just waiting for things to fall off until I get new stuff! I'm feeling ok physcially, but mentally it's tough. I didnt realize what a huge mental battle weight loss really is. I don't regret being banded, I just want to do better at using the tool as much as possible. Anybody have any tips on how to motiviate yourself to workout. With it getting dark so early, i'm just not feeling it. Any tips, tricks would be greatly appreciated.

I can't seem to get going with exercise either. My son told me that on demand (I have Comcast in Boston) there are exercise programs that are free. I looked once. No excuse, I don't work outside the house so I do have time. I do go to large stores most days and walk around them even if I don't make any purchases.

About clothes-go shopping-it's great to see the smaller size on your body!!! I loved it when I went from women's to misses. Feels wonderful. Good luck with making better food choices. I try most meals and my husband makes comments if I stray.

I think 43lbs in 5 months is pretty good. I do know how you feel though. I have lost 30 in 3 months, and when you break it down, it averages 10 lbs a month which looks good on paper, but, you know what you have been doing, and realize it probably could have been more, so you look at it as not really that much. And starting thinking if I did this or that I would have lost more. When I spoke to my dr. they really don't want you to loose that fast, its not healthy, so as long as you are going down in weight you are being successful. Even when you are maintaining your are doing good, thats not so easy either. :)

Love to Dance so I just dance away in my LR to music on the CDs I have become quite the mover and shaker.

I do pool exercises and now because it is cooler in Fl now and I won't glow(sweat) I schedule a 35 min walk every day and twice a day if I can get my husband to walk after supper too. It is no secret that I do not like to excercise . But honestly I feel so good after I do it like yeah I just did what those skinney folks have been doing for years. I still do not understand why people would want to RUN though.
