Anyone eat it?
-
Right after I did my last month's session, I was able to schedule surgery! I had my surgery not even a month after. I had to do some lab work, ekg, stuff like that and once that was all done I was good to go! I surprised it moved so quick and smooth. The office I work with is AMAZING though. Hopefully it moves like that for you too!

Thanks for the insight! I was getting hungry more often. So hopefully this will help!

Hey all!
Just got home from my 2nd fill. I am hoping this is going to give me some more restriction! I have lost 22lbs since surgery and 6lbs since my last fill a month ago. The hardest part is learning my body and trying to figure out when I need fills. The past week or two I could feel i could eat more and had actually gained a pound. I can't wait until I feel the green zone!! I would love to watch these lbs just fall off! lol. Thanks for listening!

I had an bcbsILhmo...Had to do a 6mo pre-op diet/consultations. After that I was approved immediately! Only had to pay $50 out of pocket
Good luck!

I had no problems with my bcbshmo. The office was great and sent in everything as they were supposed to! I had to do the 6mo pre-op consultations. When I was done with that I scheduled surgery right then after! My surgery costed almost $22,000 and I only had to pay $50 out of pocket! I couldn't believe it. Now I pay a $30 copay everytime I need a fill
Good luck!! I am also in IL and had my surgery @ St. James in Chicago Heights, IL.

Hi Everyone!!
I was banded January 29th. I had my first fill yesterday. I don't really know how much is in my band. This morning I had 2 scrambled eggs and about 1 and 1/2 turkey sausage patties? Now I am waiting to see how long until I am hungry again. Does that seem like an okay portion? I am doing really bad with portioning. Thanks!!

What is this burping I've got going on? After I eat i usually let out this feel good burp? Is it the food passing through the band? Am I eating too much?? Thanks!!!

Hey Everyone!!
I am having a VERY hard time with waiting to drink after meals. This is one of the hardest habits I think to break! How have you all been able to do it? I am trying my best but sometimes I slip up and take a swig of Water. I know its completely defeating the purpose so I need to stop. I need ideas to help!!!
THANK YOU!!!

Hey Everyone!
So I am newly banded and have no Fluid yet in my band. The doc said this is the time to just get used to eating and getting to know my band. I am starting to feel like I need more restriction. I feel like I can eat more lately and get hungry a lil more often. Will a fill help me feel less hungry and less often?! Is this when I will really start seeing the weight come off?!
THANKS!!

I was able to eat it the first week as long as it was paste like consistency.

Cream Soups ARE my post op diet. Rule of thumb is I can have anything I can sip through a straw or pour from a pitcher. I am indulging in cream of Tomato Soup right now. Every doc is different so check with yours first!! I couldn't imagine just being on Clear Liquids for so long, I am thankful my doc doesn't require that.

Every doc is different. I had a one week high Protein diet prior to surgery, while some had 2 wks of liquid. Immediately after I could have anything I could sip through a straw or pour from a pitcher, some people are on liquid for weeks after. Applesauce, Protein Shake, FF pudding, FF popsicles, cream of wheat, cottage cheese (Paste like consistency). When I see the doc for my post one week visit, I get to start incorporating solid foods again. This board is GREAT and I don't know what I would do without it, but first and foremost listen to your doc.

Looking great!! Good job! I was just banded last week and can't wait to start seeing results!!

That's awesome Jewels! Never had Bob & Jacks, but I have had Doreen's frozen style in a bar. lol. You are right, NOTHING LIKE THE SOUTH SIDE

I LOVE all the ideas, thank you! I do not have a Marcos pizza by me. I live in the south side of Chicago, Home of the ORIGINAL AURELIO's pizza in Homewood. I have the BEST pizza by me and have always been spoiled. I now will make my own a treat myself to a slice every once in a while of my fav.
@soon2bsmall-I don't know how you did that! Showed GREAT willpower. I told my family NO pizza until I can have my own! That will be one of my first meals when I am allowed!!
@lauri- The chicken idea sounds fab! I love all those ingredients! I will be trying that as well
COME ON REAL food AGAIN!! lol.

Hamburger?

Ground hamburger is a go-to food for me! Burger, no bun. I will just cook it and add mushrooms, spinach etc. I make sure I get the leanest beef possible! It's the way I get most of my protein!
