Actually Dr.Scott stowers was my surgeon,I did my 5 doc/nut visit with him,until i found out myself tht i needed a bmi of 50 to get the sleeve(highmark bcbs) and the ins coord didnt even bother to fight for my approval,the nurses are nice,my contact person with Dr.Stowers was michael..after the ins coord telling me my only option is the lapband,i googled for a sleeve surgeon in the DFW and found DR.Jayaseelan So on the same day I called Dr.Jayaseelan's office I scheduled an app with him, ..Well im glad to say tht the ins coord Liz got me approved and she personally got the surgeon to write me a letter for my approval...Im sure you want a surgeon tht gives shyt,so i would say go with Dr.Jayaseelan..Call to schedule a consultation its free!!! http://www.dallasbariatriccenter.com/

I took provera and now regret it abit,im on my period now,i wish it wouldve came on its own nd not because of the pill...i have forgot what a period is like.. I have bad cramps. What protien shakes do you drink?! As of right now i weigh 280(jus this morning),surgery on sept 14th..any tips on how to start off and what type of excerise for loose skin?!

Mine are different its goin to be a year without a period (oct).Ive gone to my obgyn and she said it could be because of my weight..ive had bloodwork done and EVERYTHING has came out good..pap smear,A1C,thyroid,STDs,iron,cholestrol,vitamin D...I had an appt for a sonogram but wasnt able to go because of my job(points)...i was not so concerned when younger but now i someday want to have a child..i started my period at the age of 12yrs nd been regular till 18 from there it went down it started every other month then every other 3 to 4month and this time almost a year without it,so my obgyn perscribed me "provera" to have my period once so it would clean out(build up)..Ive finshed my meds and still nothing... hopefully it is because of my weight..surgery date sept 14th at 7am..

Hi have you been approved yet?! I have highmark bcbs and it took 2days to approve me for the sleeve, if you wanna know how i got approved with a bmi less then 50 then message me..

Is this is dallas Tx?!,cause i know theirs a surgeon named nick here,but anyways i go to Dr.Jay in dallas,i have bcbs highmark,most bcbs require a 6month consecutive nut/exercise visit nd psych eval....i had to pay the eval out of pocket...anyways before u get weighed drink alot of water,try to weigh over 40(bmi).just in case u have no co morbid..nd dont miss no appointments,i skipped one nd ill probably get denied,here's the down part u probably need a bmi of 50 to get the sleeve,at least thts my policy criteria...so ur gonna need to find a Dr tht gives a shyt(as in peer to peer,and appeal).i was goin to Dr.Stowers nd when i found out myself about the bmi 50 for the sleeve they gave up,thts why i chose Dr.Jay,anywho me and the insurance cord came up with a plan,hope it wrks because i dont want the bypass...maybe ur requirements are different...

My last visit for the 6months nut nd exercise is nxt week...i wanted to ask you were your 6months visit consecutive?!did u skip an appointment?! Becuz i went 01,02,04,05,06,07....notice how i skipped 03(march)...i keep thinking ill get denied becuz of tht...

I found another surgeon who is going to do what he can to get me approved for the sleeve...i wanted to ask you did u do the supervised excerise for 6months...?! Or just the nutrition diet thingy?!

I have to go with the bypass becuz my ins coord said its the ins policy,not only tht but i wasted my tyme there...The surgeon tht was goin to do my surgery doesnt do bypass...if it wasnt for this forum and some research i would still be goin with no worries...thank god i found out..

Okay now i get it....what ur sorta talking about ...i read the form(IRO)...after my first denial ill then send my paper wrk to the IRO... I was so clueless becuz ive never dealt with insurance or had any surgery done what so ever...im not gonna worry so much about it...i have faith

Oh god...so i have to write a letter saying why i should get the sleeve...does it have to be prefect?! Like as in proof read and correct spelling, punctuation marks and the whole writing thing with foot notes and printed out on white paper?!..or just note book paper and a pen..do u have any websited where i could get ideas from nd what IRO the one in texas or does ot matter what state?!

Congrats...could you pls tell me what u did to get approved?! I live in dallas tx btw...or could u give me any hints...pls i dont want the gastric bypass...why reroute my insides when i could just get a partial of my stomach removed ...
