  1. Thanks. I'm going to register for the parramatta one. 4 or 8km. I'm up for the challenge.
  2. Where is it? I'd love to do it.
  3. It's def not the worst, don't panic.
  4. My surgeon recommended optifast, but celebrity slim was "ok". Never heard of the other one. Where are you having your surgery? Good luck.

    Sleeve and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

I didn't have CFS but did suffer with glandular fever 2 months post op. I was suffering from extreme fatigue for about 3-4months. If you're not moving, don't eat. Simple. I was forcing myself up and to work after 1 month bed rest. I had my best weight loss during that period.

    liquor

I had 1 glass of champagne at 4 months and it made me so sick, and it tasted like vinegar. Haven't touched anything since.

  8. I liked the name puppy fat because it implies that its transient. That eventually, I'll grow into my roles and grow from ugly duckling to pretty swan. I spent 7 years looking like a shar pei puppy, now I look like an afghan hound, shedding just as much hair as one too lol. I like skinny kitten, will have to think of a new name.

    Vet's Forum

I'm 6 months post op, have more than 300 posts, and have been at maintenance for a couple of months. I don't consider myself a vet, but lurk these threads because the vets are talking about what I want to know. Stuff that's relevant to me. I won't post on them, but I do get a lot of good info. I'm with every1 else that says non vets shouldn't post, but please don't make it a closed group. I need it!!!

    The great thread killer......

Hahaha, you don't look that old. When you get to goal they're going to be asking you for id again.
  12. Lol. At 55kgs, I don't take offense to that.

    The great thread killer......

I was born in 87, so don't personally remember the 80s, but run a very busy bar and know my grog. My go to drink now is vanilla absolut with mint and cloudy apple juice. I'll sit on it for about an hour because its so sweet, but the mint is so refreshing. And mint is good for you, cloudy apple juice is high in fibre and vanilla is an aphrodisiac (I guess the vodka is too) which encourages you to work out *wink wink*

  15. I'm 6 months out and am at goal, I could eat most of 1 taco, if I ate it really slowly, and forced myself. I would probably be content with half a one though.
  16. I just recently got a new job, don't start for a month though, have to finish some studying first. But the interviewer said that her team were having a weight loss challenge ATM, not that I need to lose any weight. I told her that I had lost over 50kg in the last 12 months if she wanted any tips. She was floored. I didn't tell her how I lost it, other than that I had had a rough year with illnesses, which I had. It's funny how people treat you differently from being big to small. Here's an updated pic my daughter took of me today. Don't laugh, but it was at max brenner. Also, yesterday I bought some size 7 skinny jeans from Jeanswest, got them home, and they were too BIG!!! Swapped them for some 6s today.

    Americans are doomed!

I'm the same as deano, my problem was quantity, not quality, and also a LOT of carbs. And laziness too. I think a lot of our food is deceptively calorie dense, like an individual pecan pie from a coffee chain is equivalent to your entire days calories, and I would probably have 2, plus an iced coffee with ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate sauce. And it's not the Vegemite that makes us fat, its the 2 loaves of white bread we put it on a day, with butter and cheese.

    Americans are doomed!

Why is it all so cheap??? I can understand how low income families have the biggest weight problems, because you get so much food for so little money.

Hair loss ... Any hair products help ?

My hair is super thin and fine now, it was long and like spiders webs, it would get so knotty and every time I brushed it, I more and more came out. I cut it up to my shoulders and had a keratin treatment. It doesn't get knotty and I don't have to damage what is left by straightening it. Haven't got any tips for avoiding the loss, but the keratin helps with what is left.
