    One Year!

Well I can eat just about anything without getting sick however I try to stay with Protein first then salad of veggies, I also have at least I shake a day if not two, I drink lots of coffee and unsweetened tea. I really would like to lose 20-30 more lbs so I can't help with maintaining yet.

    One Year!

Thanks again for all the sweet comments, it really means a lot! If anyone reading this is still on the fence about to have surgery or not, I would do it and don't look back! It is not always an easy road but the results are worth it! Here is one more photo! Again I appreciate all the support and information I have gotten from all of you on this journey!

    One Year!

It was hard at the beginning, It takes a lot of planning and effort to get in your Protein and fluids but after I found Premier shakes at Sam's club I had a much easier time. I walk and lift light weights 4-6 days a week. But overall it's great, I have rarely been sick, and the recovery from surgery was not bad at all. As a person who has lost large amounts of weight in the past only to gain it all back plus some, I love the sleeve, it just gives me control and peace of mind that I can do this! Thanks for all the sweet comments!
  4. Thanks! I feel amazing!

  11. I was sleeved on July 30, 2012... I am 5'9", I started this at 354 and I now weigh 244... This has been the greatest thing I have ever done for myself!
  12. The absolutely most important thing for me has been following diet the Dr. gives you stage by stage! Exercise is important, however I think stopping eating as soon as you feel full is the most important thing in the beginning, and avoid snacking and stay hydrated. You will have stalls but just try not to get upset and stay with it, you will lose inches even when the scale isn't moving! Premier Protein shakes are my favorite, find one you like and drink them!
  13. Sleeved on July 30, 2012... Started at 354, today 244!!! 110lbs gone forever!!!

I am 7 weeks out, but I remember doing the same thing! I felt terrible on the pre-op diet but my Dr. Didn't seem concerned, and it past after a while! Stick with it!

  18. Hi, sounds like you are doing greAt! So Full.......

Hi, I am 3.5 weeks out, I can eat about 1/2 cup of soup, but any soft food I have tried I can only eat about 3 small bites before I feel very full! So much so I have been avoiding anything other than liquids, I'm glad my sleeve is restrictive, but that feeling of fullness is very uncomfortable!

    Texas Forum?

Hey, I'm doing good, I have found a Protein shake that is working much better for me, so I'm meeting my protein goal so that's great. I did get dehydrated last week and I'm still suffering from the effects of that, but all and all I'm doing really good! With pre-op I'm down about 40 lbs, how are things going for you?

    Surgery Next Thursday!

Hi, I had my sleeve on Monday July 30 th, so about 10 days ago. I will say waking up in recovery I felt pretty bad, but after they gave me pain meds and for nausea, I felt pretty good other than gas pressure/pain, I knew walking was they only way to cope with that, so I started asking to walk as soon as I got to a room, I was up and walking and I walked, walked, and walked! My best advice WALK and alway take pain meds, don't wait till you are hurting bad to ask for them, most you can have every 4 hrs! Good Luck!!!
