  1. Oh and here is the worst photo anyone has on here! Taken last summer daughter took it. This pic made my mind up! I was on the fence for a long time. I really thought they deleted it once I told them that but I just found it on my iPad. I'm getting this enlarged, yes making it even bigger to remind me how absolutely disgusting I am. I know no one would have the nerve to post such a pic I should win a prize I think for the ugliest pic or for the most nerve. Lol just a good thing I live in the woods and no neighbors to see this.

  2. Hi ladies I'm to be 56 this year and having my surgery one week this Monday the 25th. I'm finding it hard to believe I'm having this done seems like it hasn't set in yet weird huh? I'm afraid ill really be panic struck the day before or the day of the surgery. Anyone else feel like this?

  3. Hi Mercedes I'm Debbie from Pa. Having my surgery on the 25th of march also. Im On the 2 shakes and a supper also allowed a Protein Bar in there . . I'm also very hungry. I have had to put in A cheese stick low fat in there to help me out. Not easy I know . I have read many posts on here and it seems so many revisions from band to rny has been done. So I wouldn't think it would be my fault it didn't work. Just to many others out there that it didn't work for. I had the 3 month program to finish . I don't know if I'm making the right decision either. I have talked to others and they all felt the same way. I'm nervous also so your not alone. All I see is everyone says on here they made the right decision to have it done.

They just would have done it sooner. I hope I'll be one of them and you to . Stay in touch with me ok

  6. Remember before surgery - when someone would snap a picture of you and when you saw it you'd think "oh my god am I really THAT big? It can't be." ? How you always looked bigger is photos than you thought you did in real life? [which we all know now unfortunately was not the case]

Well the same thing happens to me now but the opposite. I'm constantly thinking I need to lose more and I'm still a pudge but sometimes people or even I will take photos of me and I don't recognize the girl on the photo. As per example' date=' I NEVER thought my arms were thin and would ya look at this picture I took yesterday:

    Or arms

Finally starting to love myself and the results of this surgery! 8 months out and will never turn back <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />

    Your absolutely beautiful!

  7. Opposes....... That may not be what happens to us. I guess it's just fear of the unknown. I figure I. Done with weight watchers no more of that especially after the last time I was there the instructor said " oh you'll be here forever" . That. Really hurt and not like I wasn't successful I had lost 72 lbs at one point. Just did the yo yo stuff. So that really did it. I pray this works and I can do it all. I'm concerned with the liquid diet for 2 weeks prior hope I can do it. I'm nervous about it all.

  8. Hi Pam! I'm going to be 56 this year and I'm having surgery on march 25th. I asked my dr. If Im to old (that's what my husbands says) and the dr said no. He's done it on people much much older than us and would still recommend it to me if I was 10 years older. He says ill say I should have done it 10 years ago and I'll feel much younger.. I hope because I take care of my 2 grandchildren 2 and 4 years old they live with me. At the end of the day like right now I'm tired. I just want to move better and I really do want to look better i hate how I look and of course the health benefits. I just hope I'm feeling good soon after, I only have a plan for the first week I'm home my daughter will take off of work. Can people tell more what its like those 2-3 weeks , are you sick? Do you just want to lay? Can you move about easily? I hear your just exhausted is that true? What would you suggest for me. And that's if I have no complications. Any info is appreciated.

  9. Hi Judy I also have Barrett's esophagus and glad to see your post. I have my surgeons appt on the 29th of jan. I figure he will say the by -pass will be needed to be done and not the sleeve. So your doing well no complications? I'm 55 yrs old and I understand once I see him I can schedule my surgery date. Hoping I'm doing the right thing here . No support from my husband so if I have issues after ill hear of of " I told you so's".

  11. I haven't had surgery yet I'm just in the very beginning stage. I'm sure for many reasons relationships don't make it after this life altering surgery. I must say from experience in the area of cheating that from counseling you must remember its not your fault! This is his problem! He's the one with the problem and needs help himself. I feel this would of happened even if you didn't have the surgery. Eight yrs. ago my husband had an affair with someone that works with him. I was shocked our 25th anniversary was coming up my daughter left to go to another state. My dad was extremely ill and in ho****e during all this and passed away. I felt he couldn't have picked a worse time. I kept it a seacret for months during all this and trusted he was no longer seeing her and that since he didn't want counseling we would work on it together. None of that was true. Long story short . I filed for divorce he was served papers and I was ready o move out. He came to me begging for us to work it out . I felt bad for him would you believe that! He looked terrible and his state of mind was really bad. Yeah I know good for him. Oh and I must mention I was down 72 lbs. during this time from weight watchers. I am still with him it's not easy I'm 55 yrs old and stayed because it would be easier for ME! The trust is not there but it's not as bad as it use to be. I just feel for you. Go to a counselor for You. I gained all my weight back and I know what happened didn't help me. So make you healthy now . Work on this crap later. It's all about you right now. You you you! Good luck you'll be just fine. I understand the emotions your having right now. Talk to someone. No one really gets this unless you have been there. You can make it work but for now and your recent surgery get help for you now.
