  1. I would do it again without hesitation . I so wish I did it long ago. Surgery was march 25 th started at 258.0 ....pre - op diet lost 10lbs. To 248.0..... Now 213.0 ..... Down 45 lbs! Just can't wait to be under 200. It will come. Not to bad for 9 weeks out. I feel great , of course I have good days and bad days but I also have many great days to. No regrets what so ever !

  2. Just looking for feedback if I should call my surgeon or pcp. This weekend I have had terrible dizziness with vertigo and a headache in my forehead that won't go away. It started Saturday morning and I actually was in a store and had to grab onto something to keep from falling! The dizziness is especially bad when I first lie down' date=' or move arouNd while lying down, or get up from a lying or sitting position. Just wondering if this could be associated with the surgery. I had rny on 3/14.[/quote']

I have had this for years thought it was ear infection, then they said depression, or my blood pressure pills, had all kinds of tests. They thought I was nuts. I now feel its my sinuses and I treat it that wAy. It goes away eventually I just don't get so upset anymore. It always subsides. I'd get dull headaches in front of forehead and not mode wasn't blocked . It's way deep in my sinuses. Maybe this may help you. Good luck I know it's scarey.

  3. The thing I don't understand is that you're supposed to eat slow and spread it over a good amount of time' date=' so why was he telling you you're taking too long to eat? That makes no sense to me. I'd call the nutritionist and tell her what he said and get her opinion, just to be sure. And if it's good and puréed and spread over 40 minutes I'm sure you didn't do any damage.[/quote']

What a goof . It's there fault by not being definite on telling you how much to be eating . Mine doesn't either. I'm sure I have eaten 4 ozs of Soup at one time. Shame on him or I should say them.

  4. Since we are speaking of pain.... I'm having pain since yesterday after supper, in my upper left quadrant. Called drs. Nurse and said since I had a bread for the first time yesterday at supper, she feels it got "hung up" in the pouch. Said it probably wasn't ready for it. Told me to do liquids for 2 days. It's really sore there I sure hope she's right. Also said it will go down or come up. I don't feel sick to my stomach at all . I had rny on march 25. Anyone experience this?

  5. What is like to know is?........ Does it take older people like myself longer to lose the weight as opposed to people not in their fifties? I will ask my dr. When I see him but if you know do tell please.

  6. My latest pet peeve? The guy at work who speaks authoritatively about WLS.

    Yesterday: Him: How's it going?

    Me: I explain.

Him: Oh' date=' I see. Well, enjoy this phase. The first six months are the honeymoon period. After that it becomes a struggle, and I just hope you don't become one of the ones who have the weight come back after a year...

Me: Did you have the surgery?

Him: Who me? No, no! I never could! I love to eat too much!

    Me: Grrrrrrrr![/quote']

What an a-hole! Hate people like that

  7. Ladies I can say this first I'm 5 weeks out and just started to feel "normal". Heads clearer, I feel strong again, finally feel up to a little exercise like walking and going out with friends on occasion . I felt like I was recovering forever. We need to be patient and I'm not lol I want it all done yesterday. Since our weather has finally become nice go sit on your porch for a few minutes a couple times a day feel that sun we waited so long for sip a refreshing drink smell that fresh air and relax. It will all be so mucho better very very soon. Your actually on your way to a better you!

  8. My husband did the same thing but when he realized I was doing it no matter what he said he kinda jumped on board. Took me to hospital and just acted more serious than brushing me and the topic off. This was over many months that he said the same exact thing " you don't need this you can do this on your own" or "you'll never be able to stick to it" " your skin is going to hang" some of my motivation is to prove him wrong. I'll be 4 weeks out on 25th and I'm down 27 lbs not so bad. He said the the other day "your looking good Deb " please don't let him change your mind! It's your life not his he doesn't have to love in your shoes everyday. He's being selfish for what ever reason . It's not so bad over here on this side come on well make room for you on the losers bench! Put you first! Good luck to you !
