  1. Hi! I'm just over 5 weeks post op and I just can't get passed the small dime size pieces...I take big bites and chew like crazy(counting every bite) and then there are days I'm thinking about smaller bites...how can I stop myself from eating the bigger bites? I know it's my old self with my old eating habits...any tips on how to stop the big bites??
  2. I was banded June 29 and I have some days where I can really feel my port and other days I have to push into my stomach to feel it. Anyone else ever notice that before?
  3. You should be proud!! This is hard work!! I was banded June 29 and I have days when I feel like I am doing nothing and that nothing has even come off!! But everyone is right it will take time!! But we will all rock it!!!
  4. Congrats!! My one month is coming up on the 29th!!!
  5. Thanks for all the information!
  6. Just started exercising today, nothing strenuous. Maybe it is just taking its time to heal, I guess if it's not sore, then I should be ok!! Thanks so much for the replies!! I appreciate it!
  7. No pain, just aware it is there. The other incisions healed perfectly. I'm guessing it takes time for swelling to go down under the skin?
  8. I had my surgery June 29 and can still feel the port under my skin. Some days it is less noticeable. Any idea how long it takes to heal, or will my port always feel like that? Thanks
  9. I had my surgery June 29 and flew home on July 2 with no issue!
  10. This is so great to read! I decided to put my scale away because seeing no change or a gain in my weight during the liquid phase sucks!! Nice to see other people are experiencing this!
  11. I was told to take a chewable or liquid multi vitamin! I found a liquid one at my local health store!
  12. What about body by vi shakes? That is what I am drinking now post op and before my surgery.
  13. Well I like to drink socially too...and on day 8 of liquids I had a few extra drinks. At first I was scared because I was drinking beer...but I paced myself and had a good time. The only thing that sucked was the fact that old lifestyle cure after drinking was grease...and since I'm not on solids it was not fun! I guess just pace yourself...and I also had a protein shake before, so my stomach wasn't completely empty.
  14. I was banded June 29 and I am exhausted!! No energy at all...I hope my energy comes back! I read when I'm on solid foods it should come back! Please tell me it's true!
  15. Hoping for a speedy recovery!!!
  16. Glad to hear everything went well! I am kind of nervous too, and never had surgery! Keep us updated on how you are feeling!! Keep going strong! You can do it!!
  17. I agree and that is what I need to keep telling myself! It's a great support talking to people doing the same thing!! Thanks so much for the reply! You are so close! Keep up the great work!
  18. You can do it! Are you on shakes, or do you have a protein diet? I am sure in a couple of days, my posts might not be as positive! I am going to try not to weigh myself because I dont want to be discouraged!
  19. Hi Everyone I am new to this site! I am day 4 into my pre-op detox and I am kind of getting bored with my menu! I have found some great spices that I am using for chicken...but always looking for more ideas! I am having my surgery in Toronto on June 29 and look forward to making friends on this site and getting info about all stages of this process!
  20. I am June 29th! Day 4 of my detox diet...things are going better then I expected!
