  1. So this weekend was my niece's quincenera and it was a great time. For the first time i wasn't the miserable lady sitting watching everyone else look good. I felt and looked better than i had in a long time! On top of that i was able to enjoy some of the food at the reception and feel satisfied. Overall best time I have had in a long time.
  2. 1. I have started drinking regular coffee again. 2. I cannot stop weighing myself every chance I get. (I am in my first stall) 3. I have not been exercising as much as I need to. 4. I had a piece of chocolate. 5. I love being thinner than my sister-in-law.
  3. No worries. My pre-op diet was similar to yours and I only lost a few pounds. However, 4 weeks post-op I have lost 20 lbs. Don't stress about it.
  4. Just in the last few days I have found that plain water makes me feel sick. I am 4 weeks out and up until this point I haven't had this problem. Has anyone else experienced this?
  5. Well you are a lucky one because these babies haven't shrunk a single cup size and I had surgery on 9/24! 22lbs is awsome if I were you I would celebrate by getting myself a new bra!
  6. Had surgery on the 24th and as of last Thursday I had lost 20 lbs.
  7. I enjoy food but don't really think about it. I went to lunch with some of my best girlfriends and had a hot turkey sandwich. It was wonderful. I ate a little turkey a bite of mashed potatoes and was satisfied. Every meal is like a feast because you eat so little that what you do eat is so good.
  8. Thanks everyone! I celebrated by putting on an old pair of jeans I haven't been able to wear in a long time - and that feels wonderful!
  9. I was sleeved on September 24th and just had my first follow up appointment. At 3 1/2 weeks out I have lost exactly 20 lbs. I am so excited!
  10. I am exactly the same way during the cold months. There is something about cold weather, football and sweatpants that makes you want to indulge a litt more!
  11. Haha! I am 3 weeks out and was already obsessed with weighing myself. So I took the battery out of the scale and threw it away. I stop at my dad's house every Saturday for coffee and some chat so I will weigh myself there.
  12. I am exactly 2 weeks post op today. When I left the hospital they gave me instructions to sip and take about 15 minutes to drink 1 oz. That was easy when I got home because it was hard to even drink that much. However 2 weeks out I can easily drink 8-12 oz in an hour. Is this too much too soon?
  13. I always just say no thanks and have never hurt anyones feelings. If it is first thing in the morning just say you are still full from breakfast. If you are really worried about it go ahead and take it but I would trash it right away because the longer it sits in front of you the harder it is to resist!
  14. Thanks everyone! I was so excited to be approved and wish that everyone could be approved as quickly. The anxiety of waiting would have killed me! Started my two week preop diet yesterday so we are getting close!
  15. That is so exciting! It is this kind of post that keeps me excited for surgery next month. Congratulations to you and good luck on your next 20 lbs!
  16. Good for you! How exciting.
  17. Highest weight - 232 Current weight - 221.5 surgery 9/24 Goal weight - 140 5'5"
  18. Yay for you! That date is right around the corner!
  19. September 24th in the house! Woot woot!
  20. Congratulations. I found today that I was approved also! I am so excited!
  21. So my surgeon sent in all of my paper work to insurance on Monday. I just checked with my insurance company and it was approved the same day and they already sent the letter to my home and my doctors office on Monday! I am so excited I am almost giddy. I can't believe approval happened so fast.
  22. I am at the exact same place. They were sending everything over to insurance this morning! I am so nervous.
  23. I'm in. I constantly weigh myself and I am pre-surgery! Slave no more - 223 this morning.
